We are still working on our marriage and I will be present for the birth. Again, I still don't know if it's mine or not. No one knows except me and some of my wife's family that this may not be my child, so I will be there. I still need to get in touch with a lawyer in my state to find out what my options are. We are at about six weeks before birth.

I'm glad to hear you will be present at the birth. I'd say that's a positive sign. And by all means, if you want to be the father, regardless of how your marriage turns out, then sign that birth certificate as the father.

Do yourself a big favor and find out about the state laws prior to the birth. You might be able to consult documents on the internet to find out. My state's paternity laws are all accessible from their website. Lawyers can be expensive, although one might offer a brief consultation for free. You might also do an internet search under DNA testing, paternity, your state, birth certificates, etc. I found quite a bit of info that way.
