sunday fullhouse and i will celibrate our 23 wedding anniversary. i am taking her out saturday night for dinneer at a really niuce steak house. it is kind of expensive but you have to splurge once in awhile. can't always be taco bell or carls jr.. with all that has transpired in these last 2 years i would have never thought we would see this one. i am amazed that the Lord has given us both the strength to continue on.

Wow, Pops...Twenty-three big ones!!! I wish you and Fullhouse every happiness and success in your recovery and brand new beginning. Bipolar and I will have twenty-three years on March 22.

Oh yeah, I forgot, we are divorced! We're not really divorced in our minds or hearts...just legally where it matters the least to us.

We're still going to celebrate in March as you and Fullhouse are tonight....hope you remembered flowers and romantic music to cure that celibate thing....haha

Congratulations!!!

Catnip =^^=

thank you all for your well wishes. the night was very nice. we went to ruth's chris steakhouse and i highly recommend it if you are a steak lover. we discussed us which is something that we don't really find time to do with the hectic life around here. i am starting to feel things for her that have evaded me since this thing came to light. felling some of those emotions again for her is nice.

today is our actual anniversary and fh house had to take peanut to the dr. she has had a broncial sounding cough for about 2 weeks and has developed a bad rash on her little bum that has spread to her hand. while she is gone i am trying to rewire some new phone lines into my new office. so if i am gone for awhile that means i screwed up.

tmcm,,, peanut is doing really great with the exception of the above. she is sooooooo cute and i can't imagine her not being here with us. she is loved so much by all her brothers and sisters and nieces and nephews.

catnip,,,, i'm sure you and bp will enjoy yourselves fully this march.

gemini,,,, thank you for pointing out my misspelled "celebrtion". it was 2:30 am here when i posted and i quess my mind was foggy. with no disrespect to anyone else here who is in a great recovery i want to say that i have admired you and your h's recovery so much. it has given me such hope for myself. your posts are always positive about the 2 of you and it seems you 2 have found a tremendous amount of love through this crappy deal.

i have been here reading on a regular basis but try not to post as i would probably come off negative to many. it seems that so many here are very stubborn in their views and rightfully so with what we have all been through. i am trying to find some open mindedness for all this that has been cast into my life. i often read here and can very easily see both sides of the debates that take place. i also see people taking things posted here very personally when thay are not always posted in an attacking manor. and again this is due most likely to the crap that has been dumped on us.

i am trying to understand the reason that God has placed this in my world. depending on hwere yor faith is one must believe that he knew this was going to happen long before we were even born. i don't believe God does these things to test us but maybe instead to see if we can look inside ourselves and find who we really are. i am still working at refinding myself and deal with what twisty and many others have said here. i love her and at the same time can be so angry at her it's confusing.

It is wonderful to have MB where people understand the craziness of our thinking when we are in our "hate/love" mode.

Sounds like your anniversary was great. My H and I will be celebrating 20 years on the 27th of December. He loves steak, so Ruth's Chris may be just the ticket for him!

I am happy to say that anniversaries are no longer bittersweet. They used to seem so hypocritical -- celebrating x years of bliss, when there was the very visible evidence of a complete breakdown. Now, they are full of happiness looking towards the future, no longer looking at the past.

My prayers are with you and fh that the next 23 will be just as wonderful.

love,
heavenly

Awwww pops.... in trying to joke about the word "celibate" I also misspelled it! Oops! Was just trying to joke about a "celibation" sorry if you thought I was poking fun at you.

Thankyou for letting me know that through what I write you find hope for you and fullhouse.

I remember when you came here last year. You were so very crushed. pops you've come a long way with fullhouse. I want to let you know how happy I am you're getting to a new level w/"peanut".

I, too used to wonder why God dropped da bomb in my lap. It took a while to realize that just maybe HE wanted to use me to let you all know that HE answers prayers. Granted he could have chosen a different way, but HE didn't.

Instead of complaining all the time, I now thank HIM for all the gifts he's given me. I'm humbled by his grace. (you ok with that word?)

There are people here who have things so much worse. You also must look at your gifts, fullhouse being one of them....

Maybe HE used me to reach my H. He prays now. Not in the right way all the time (Like when he prayed to win the lottery last summer for millions lol) but he prays. H thanks God for me now. That touches me more than you'll ever know. Whats even better is I thank God for him too.

And we both mean it now. We are mostly back to normal. I still have "hours" or "minutes" of the old boo-hoo thing now and then. I am much better equipped to handle those times now. You will be too pops, just give it some more time.

Debi

gem,,,, i take no offense at you or any one poking fun at me for spelling, my opinions or whatever. readers digest has had a page or two that is titled "laughter is the best medicine" for years. i have an employee that can really be irritateing at times but talking with him throughout thai mess he was able to keep me laughing and i credit him with so much of the strength i was able to find dealing with this mess. so i feel laughter is very much so the best medicine. i have always been very light hearted before all this and have become that way again for most everything. one has to be able to laugh at themselves and all the crap that life brings with it or it will devour you.

the use of "that word" is perfectly fine. how could anyone find fault with such a word as grace no matter how it is used.

and yes i know that one of the true blessings in my life has been fh. after reading so many of the sad posts on this site i honestly do feel very lucky. i know i would not have been able to pull through some of the hard times others here have endured.
