We got an email from Sailorman's mom last night, saying that his dad is having some problems. For those of you who didn't know, he had both knees replaced in Oct, and is doing VERY well with that recovery(went back to work a month earlier than expected, he's a truck driver). Well, now he has developed some sort of rash that really itches bad, from his neck to his knees! The doctors aren't sure what it is, and with his schedule, it's been hard to get in to the doctor's office. The bigger thing is that he's been having pain from the back of his eye down to his jaw. They are going to try to do an MRI to see if there is a growth on the nerve behind his eye, or if it's something else. His dad is in his early 60's, so it's kinda scary for everyone! Pray that they can figure these two things out, and that they can be dealt with easily!

Thanks,

Tigger

Well, the results of the MRI were normal, but he is still having pain. He goes to see a neuroligist on Feb 10, so hopefully they can figure it out then! As for his rash, they looked into so many different things, and as an after thought, remembered that he'd gotten new uniforms. They were supposed to be 100% cotton, but they had some other fabric, which was causing the rash. He stopped using the new uniforms, and the rash went away!

Thank you for all your prayers and support, and will update after the 10th!

Love,

Tigger

Good morning, Tigger

Sending prayers your way for Sailorman's Dad...so glad the MRI came out OK. Maybe the pain in his jaw is from clenching his teeth from the rash making him crazy. Hope all this is as innocent as fabric sizing on sensitive skin and nothing more. Bipolar Bear has super sensitive skin and I have to rewash all his uniforms when he brings them home from work. He insists I use TWO sheets of Downey in the dryer. What a puss.

Anyway, I'll pray for him...and you and the brood, too, as long as I am on my knees. How is everyone doing? Are you loving being stateside and settled in? Glad you're home, Tigger.

Love

Catnip,

Everything is finally settling down with this major move! I am SO happy to be stateside again, and enjoyed being in our home town for the 3 months before we moved up here! Sailorman is settling in at his job, and will have a long transition for him to take over the office. With everything that's going on in the world, I am very glad that he is on this duty, as he won't be sent out to the Gulf! One of the really nice things about the Navy, when your orders say "shore duty" you don't get sent to any ships or wars! Unless you are stationed in that particular area!

The older kiddos are adjusting very well to their new schools and home. Abbi is just taking it all in, as she always does! The stairs are new to her, so we usually keep the gate up at the bottom while she's awake.

Thank you so much for your prayers and support. I love what you said about his pain being from clenching his jaw because of the rash <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="images/icons/grin.gif" /> I just hope that it's something that simple, cause my MIL had some blockage in a main vein to her brain which she ended up getting a by-pass for in her neck! Not a happy time for them, that's for sure, and I'm sure that's in the back of their minds at this point for my FIL.

Again, thanks!

Love,

Tigger
