Melissa,

My dear friend… you asked in another thread how I am feeling.

To answer you, I am doing all right. Morning sickness is a big part of my life and I am beginning to hate it, although I know it’s a good sign that the pregnancy is progressing well.
I have lost weight, instead of gaining, and my Dr has put me on some form of DramamineII to help with the nausea… but so far, I am still fighting it… gotta give it another week or so to be sure if its helping or not.
Also, I have been fighting the flu. Lil Bit had it for nearly 2 wks and she spent the entire time here with us, as exOW didn’t feel up to dealing with a sick baby.

This is week 13 for me and I am so excited at having made it this far! According to PregnancyWeekly.com I am now in my 2nd trimester!! YIPPEE!!!

We have seen the heartbeat 3 times now, but still have not officially heard it. It was a strong 166 bpm at my last Dr appt and the nurse says it sounds like a girl.

Thanks Melissa, for checking on me.

How are you doing?

Oh Stacia, I am so glad everything is going so well for you!

Morning sickness hopefully will start to taper off soon.

Jenna took everyting from me, I also lost and by my 6th month, I had gained only 6 lbs. I gained a total of 18 lbs with her, she weighed in at 7lb 3 oz and 21 inches long. She had about 3 lbs of cole black hair!

I am so excited for you guys!

A little girl huh?

Me and the man are working on another for us, he is so ready for Jenna to have a sibling close in age. Her other siblings are so much older than her, my son is the closet on age and he is 9.

Those second trimesters are the best. Your energy will come back, you are going to glow, you will feel so much better, you are going to love it.

By the way, I am doing great!

Thanks for the tip, twilight.

I have heard that. And if this medicine doesn't help SOON, I am going to ask about it.

With all the problems I have had in the past, I am afraid to try anything without the consent of my Dr...
This is the first of all my pregnancies to get this far and I am just THRILLED!!!

So, I guess Morning Sickness is the least of my worries right now.

Thanks again!

decided to jump in here with a quick note on morning sickness - which btw is the most misleading word in the english language! at least for me, it certainly wasn't limited to the morning...

the first four months of my pregnancy, i gained 1 lb! one whole pound! i had to quit my job and lived mostly on toast and applesauce. even the smell of milk was too much for me! you might be saying, "milk? what smell?" exactly! i was ALWAYS nauseous! if i was awake, i was nauseous!

but now here i am in my 30th week and haven't been sick since just after new years. the first trimester was definitely the worst. here in canada though, there's a drug called diclectin that doctors can perscribe. it's basically a very mild antihistamine (sp?) and a lot of vitamin b6. definitely ask your doctor about supplementing your diet with vitamin b. honestly, i couldn't go more than four hours without taking one!

but belive me, it does get better! and soon you'll be feeling your baby kick (ALL the time!) and it'll drive any other thought out of your head.

best of luck and congratulations!

amy
