Not an OC/OW post, but just a post. My oldest son is in Iraq with the Army. It has been a tough few months. He didn't leave until April. He missed the actual war, but as we can see from the news things are still unsettled.
So I was just wondering who else on this Board has a loved one there, how they are doing in Iraq and how the ones left behind are doing.
Please post and share how you are doing at this time and now your loved one is there in Iraq. Have you heard from him/her?
My H was career Army, he never went into a hot zone, it feels really strange for it to be my son in a dangerous area.

Tgirl, I hope your son and everyone there comes back soon!! DH was in Gulf War and Afghanistan and it's so hard on them AND loved ones.

My brother is there now with the National Guard, conditions for him are terrible, and I think it's INSANE. When we send our NATIONAL Guard to other countries... something bad wrong with this picture. I KNOW our active duty are spread thin but this ain't the solution. Thanks for the vent.

Gotta run.

My Husband is also National Guard. He left here in February, with order until next Feb. Life is awful to be honest. My kids are growing up right in front of me and he is missing it. I can't imagine getting through the summer let alone maybe getting through till Feb.

I thought for sure he would be home by now since he is National Guard and has a full time job here. but it doesn't look very positive. I am done doing this, I want to have him home. I hear from him a couple times a week, but that will change in a few weeks. His location is changing and we will lose internet connections. Just trying to stay on track and hoping to hear some happy news.
