well it's about 1am for me here and i've been in labour about 5 or 6 hours now. wish i could sleep but the contractions hurt too much. h and i went to the hospital earlier tonight but figured i'd be more comfortable waiting things out a bit longer at home.

thing is, these contractions have been coming every 2 minutes ( ) since about 4pm and last about a minute... so not too much time to rest. or fall asleep.

there's really no question here for anyone to answer. i'm just trying to pass some time and distract myself.

it's nice to know that this'll be over soon. well, i hope.

my in-laws got into town last night, so just in time it seems. i'm hoping that their being here will let them bond with this baby more than if they were still overseas. but i'm still somewhat nervous about how they're going to react/feel about a baby that's not biologically their real grandson. i guess we'll find out...

well for those of you who're still awake, say a little prayer for me, h and this baby. pray that the contractions don't get any more frequent! don't think i could handle it.

thanks for giving me a place to write.

Amy,

I will be praying, though I hope that your little boy has already arrived, for your sake! As for your in-laws, from experience, my in-laws absolutely LOVE Abbi! Just as they do our older 2 kids! It's hard not to love a new baby, no matter the circumstances! I say keep up the united front w/H, the rest will fall into place on it's own! Let us know, when you can, how you and baby are doing!

Love,

Tigger

Amethyst~

How exciting for you! I'm hoping by now you've long had your baby, just wanted to extend my well wishes to you, your husband and your little boy.

It's funny, I was just thinking of you this past weekend. I remembered that you said your baby was due end of May, and I didn't recall seeing any recent posts from you.

I'm so happy for you, and don't worry about your in-laws. Your husband has accepted this baby as his own, I'm sure they will do the same. Afterall, as Tigger said, who can resist a newborn?

Look forward to hearing from you when you are able. Take care and get as much rest as you can!
