Hi everyone, I am new to this but I need an avenue for help. I have been married for almost four years now. After the first year, I found out my wife cheated on me and was pregnant, of course I was furious since this(cheating) has been a pattern(Its happened to me so many times I can't count) in my life since I started dating in my early years. He both decided(then thought it was both) that she have an abortion. I don't think I could live my life married to another person with someone elses baby. Am I wrong? But we put it aside an we carried on. Everything was great the next years ahead until now. It is all coming back out, she says she doesn;t know if she loves me. I love her with everything I have, We agreed to seek counseling(I will lay down my life to save this marriage) But I need to know if counseling REALLY helps???? I mean if the two individuals can;t work it out how can a third party help. PLEASE GIVE ME SOME ADVICE!!!!!!!!!

Sammy, I want to welcome you to MarriageBuilders and say how sorry I am that you are going through this.
My first suggestion is to read through the Principles on this site. They help to provide a basis for you to move forward towards rebuilding your marriage.
I am glad to see that BOTH of you have agree to counseling. Yes it does work. There are many here that have been through counseling and they swear by it. I, myself, went to counseling and found that it helped me to see myself in a different light and pointed out things I needed to focus on to rebuild my marriage.
I hear that the Harleys are excellent counselors. You can find the phone number for them in the Counsel section of the site.
Prayers for you and your wife that you may rebuild your marriage.
