To anyone owed child support.........
Information from a Friend of Court: If you are owed money from back child support in excess of $500 then the child tax credit should come to the custodial parent but only if the child support office is notified AND the ex spouse claimed the children on the 2002 taxes.
The check will not be flagged until they are notified. If you are owed money then please contact your local office so you can get what you deserve.
