I need prayers...I start school in one hour for the first time in a couple decades and am nervous. The only retention I have is in my ankles. Long days ahead for the next month.

Good luck Catnip! I would love to go back to school, just so I could feel like I am using my brain again! Hope the day was informative. I am sure you will do fine! NGU

Catnip, I sure hope you can contain all of this excitement! You have to have something left for studying you know.
I wish you well on your new adventure. Do let us know how things are going.
love Debi

quote:
Originally posted by BINthereDUNthat: How did it go??

=^^= It went great. I was so surprised at how well I did on my first exam today. There are about 90 in the class, only 25 of them are women but we all became fast friends ...I broke the ice by falling asleep in class and waking up with a snort. I suppose I should be embarrassed but it was so funny. I started laughing and couldn't stop. Just when I stopped I would think about what I had done and I would get the giggles all over again and it started a chain reaction.
I guess I only dozed for a minute but, God help me! I was so tired! No sleep the night before my first day, riddled with anxiety and about 3 PM I hit the wall. I sat there glazed over and struggling to keep my eyes open when I just couldn't take it one more minute. There are a lot of people who are my age doing this course, so I don't feel silly like I would at the U with all those kids.
But, I aced this test, Kids! I am so excited!
Thanks for your prayers and your love and good wishes. Youa re all so good to me! [ January 13, 2004, 10:06 PM: Message edited by: catnip ]

i know how easy it is to fall asleep in your class. a few (ok many) years back i tried going back to school. after a long day at work it was next to impossible to stay focused in those 3 hour classes at night.
may i ask what is the subject of your study?
