No we're not moving to Mexico to escape like I always fantasize about but we are getting away for the weekend.
We are taking the whole KTbunch to a cabin in the mountains, there will be lots of snow and I can't wait.
Just some time spent out of the ordinary. We need it. We ALL need it. I do wish H and I could arrange some time away just for us but this will be just as nice. I'm sure after whole days in the snow it won't be hard to get the ktbunch to bed early then H and I could cozy up in front of the fire.
OC does not have school Monday so it will be a nice looooong weekend. I hope I'm not setting myself up to be disappointed. Why would I even think that?
I just want to relax. Take my crochet, (I'm working on a beautiful, deep red, blanket) and maybe a book or two. Maybe I should buy something new to wear (or better yet, not wear ).
I can't wait, I can't wait, I can't wait!!!!!
I don't want to think about OW or CS or courts or hearings or the past or blah blah blah. I will try to leave all that @ home! OC will be w/us, of course, but I will just try to focus on enjoying the time we have together as the "ktbunch".
Their ALL mine when they are w/me so this weekend we will make some great new memories of snow angels, sledding, snow balls, hot chocolate w/ marshmallows and I'm planning on making some cozy(or HOT ) memories of my own by the fire!!!!!
I don't think I could ever have made this a priority or even wanted to if I did not find this forum. It and all of you has helped me stay sane and focus on what is important. Even when there are newbies hurting, YOU help me remember how far we have come, and the more experienced keep my hope alive of all I have to look forward to in my marriage. (and I'm really looking forward to a lot!!!!)
Thanks everyone. Looking forward to a nice weekend, KT.
PS: did I tell you how much I just can't wait!!!!

Glad to see someone here is ahving a good day with good thoughts. The only thing I have done, which isn't good, is over build up what a weekend or vacation will do, and I've been disappointed. Not because anything went wrong, it just meet the super high expectations I had. They probably weren't even possible to meet. I hope your weekend is great and all that you need. Is there better than snuggling near the fire watching a movie with a good glass of wine, oh yeah and your spouse to? Hope you get the kids to be early. Have great time

KT you deserve to have a great time. I've only been here for a short time but have read your words of inspiration to me and the other newbie's. You have a great heart and I wish you the best weekend of memories. You have given me hope and a since of worth thru my hard times. And really thank God that people like you are here to talk to. Have a great time and be safe.

Have a wonderful time and take lots of pictures!!
Let those kids run themselves silly all day long so they are REAL tired early in the evening!!
