I found this on the internet and I thought that I would pass this on
Constitutional Challenge to Illinois Child Support Guidelines From: Ken McNeil Conditions of use policy: accept & agree Date: 25 Feb 2004 Time: 11:58:52 Remote Name: 63.107.236.250
Comments I am an attorney with one of the leading family law firms in Chicago, and a 1985 graduate of Harvard Law School. I have developed four promising constitutional arguments that have apparently never been made in attacking the Illinois child support guidelines. However, the party for whom these arguments were developed lacks standing to mount a challenge to the overbreadth of the statute (which is at the heart of the two central arguments). The ideal case would involve a prospective non-custodial parent who (a) has income in the middle to upper income range and (b) is already subject to a prior guideline order of support from an earlier divorce. If anyone knows of such a case that is currently pending in the Illinois courts, please contact me at 312-861-4600 or kenmcneil@lawyer.com.
This guy is looking for a NCP with TWO orders of support (different mothers) and wants to argue the unconstitutionality of the law based on equal protection for the children.
He seems to be pretty passionate about this issue.
Hope it helps someone.
Melissa

Here's another interesting link for you Mshermi..... Here in my state, they are looking to put this up in legislation. I hope it does come through as we are seriously looking into it ourselves. I hope this helps someone too, at least to set a precedent, perhaps? LADADS---Legislation Twiisty
