Believing Without Seeing!!
John 20:29 "Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me,
thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have
believed."
Do you need to see positive things happening in your situation before
you believe that God can heal and restore?
Faith is believing without seeing. In the Bible, we can find many
examples of faith. In the book of Job, we see the afflictions that
Job went through, yet he continued to trust in God. In the end, God
restored his fortunes to twice as he had before. In the New Testament,
however, we see "doubting Thomas", who would only believe in the
resurrection of Jesus after he had seen Him with his own eyes. In John
20:29, we read "Blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have
believed". My dear friends, how would you then rate your faith?
Believe that the Lord will restore your marriage. He will give you
the desires of your heart. He will not give you more that you
can bear. He will not put you to shame. He will turn your mourning
into dancing. He will restore your marriage in His perfect timing.
Jeremiah 31:16-17a "This is what the Lord says: "Restrain your voice
from weeping and your eyes from tears, for your work will be rewarded,"
declares the Lord. "They will return from the land of the enemy. So
there is hope for your future," declares the Lord..."
"I will turn their mourning into gladness; I will give them comfort
and joy instead of sorrow." Jeremiah 31:13b
"Just as I watched over them to uproot and tear down, and to
overthrow, destroy and bring disaster, so I will watch over them
to build and to plant," declares the Lord." Jeremiah 31:28
Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast
believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have
believed. John 20:29
I know many times some of us wants to see signs and evidence before
we can believe that God will heal and restore your home and bring
your spouse out from their sinful lifestyle. You need to trust the Lord
without seeing anything positive happening in your situation.
We need to believe that God can change this impossible situation. The
need to believe without any signs that there is NOTHING hard for God.
God has already proved Himself. When we read the Bible and see those
miracles that the Lord had performed, what more signs and evidence do
we need to see that there is NOTHING hard or IMPOSSIBLE for God?
You may not understand what you are going through, but God has a
purpose and a plan for your life.
Isaiah 55:8-9 "For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your
ways my ways, saith the LORD. For as the heavens are higher than the
earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your
thoughts."
We should not try to put God into a box we have designed. We shouldn't
give God human characteristics. Don't analyze what God would think or
do. God does not seek our advice or opinions on things. He knows what
He is doing. He created everything by just speaking it into existence,
remember? Don't ever assume you have God figured out. Your portion is
to, "Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine
own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall
direct thy paths." Proverbs 3:5-6
Psalm 62:5-7 My soul, wait thou only upon God; for my expectation is
from him. 6 He only is my rock and my salvation: he is my defense; I
shall not be moved. 7 In God is my salvation and my glory: the rock of
my strength, and my refuge, is in God.
