I'm here! I'm here!!!!

Nio hurt his back Sunday....and we all know what HUGE babies a guy can be when they're down! I took him to the doc Mon, and the doc said slipped disc OY VEY! BUT: took him to physical therapy yesterday, and they say muscular, so on a scale of slipped disc vs. muscular, we'll take muscular any ole day. Anyway, I was nursing my man.

Sad note: Jigglypuff the hamster didn't make it. She passed Sunday, so I had to put her in the freezer and make a hamstersicle out of her till I could take her back to Petsmart. According to the guy there, the little guys are prone to falling prey to a specific bacteria when under stress (like bringing them home)...he said some do and some don't. Apparently, Ms. Jigglypuff wasn't lucky. There was much wailing and tears Sunday night. The kids thought it was their fault. Mijo told me, "when we get a new one, I won't wake them up so he won't die." Big brown eyes full of tears on that one. Melted a momma's heart.

But, Monday, I took them into town, and we brought back 3, yep 3, gerbils. Elsye is black and white (like a cow), Elizabeth is tan and white, and Emily is grey and white. So the kids are happy, and FYI: Gerbils are WAY more laid back than hamsters....and a helluva lot busier. Very fun to watch them!

That's my news! Gonna try to catch up now!

- Kimmy

PS - I was laying next to Nio last night, and he hugs me and says, "Thank you." I say, "For what?" He says, "For loving me so much." I didn't know what to say, so I pause and then tell him, "My pleasure." Got a hug and a giggle for that one.

Hi Kimmy,

Having a pet die is so sad. So sorry your kids had to experience that sadness. Glad you got three. I am sure that somewhat made up for their loss. Glad your husband is loveing you so good.

Nio,

Sorry about the Ham. Hope you don't end up with 100 gerbils now! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="images/icons/shocked.gif" /> You know how those stinkers can be.

Hope Mr. Nio is back up and doing well soon. And how very sweet of him to say that to you. You are a lucky girl.

Nope Luv! They are all females....hehe! Made absolutely certain!

Yep. Nio's being good. Hope it lasts. It's really hard to "hope" anything, kwim? I'm still just putting my faith in God. I figure He'll tell me when to trust/hope again.

Don't know about OW taking care of them. She called yesterday to try to pull the guilt card about Nio not picking them up Monday (when he could barely get out of bed). Then she asked if he could pick them up Friday and keep them till Sunday. Nio and I think she wanted to take them off her hands so she could go out or something. He told her that if she doesn't want them to let him know and he'd pick them up forever. She got pissy with him. Whatever. Tart. (her, not you)

I think you guys could get them forever possibly sinc she is so neglectful of them.

My OW moved I believe to town 20min away last weekend--my Dad saw his boss's brother who is really ill helping move her out.

She told my H she would be moving to section 8 housing--well now we get to support her in more ways than one. She went on to say that her sister and her sis's boyfriend were going try and get into the same section 8 housing complex.

Those people piss me off. My mom manages a 50unit low income family section 8 state housing in a different town about 15 min away--she has for basically 20 years and most these people would disgust you. They usually pay basically no rent and then they get money to pay there water bill--don't work and sit on there [censored] and have kids--collect welfare.

Boy, isn't that a good group. I will say the ow in our life does work, she does have her own place and she does take care of her son. So I don't have any worries about her taking care of this one. She doesn't take care of herself, but I guess anyone under alot of stress doesn't. But life is what we make it! So she makes hers and I make mine. At least I know the baby will come over clean. And is no crack baby!
Nio, glad to you back.
