Because we can't always be so danged serious!
Question of the day: What was your all-time, most favoritest Cracker Jack toy? I don't mean those horrible little points they came up with recently, that you have to save and send in...I'm talking the oldies here....
Okay, okay...you know it already, I loved the tattoos. They were the MOST AWESOME! Remember the little anchor? You could put it on your bicep and be a pirate, or on your forearm and be Popeye...If you were really good, and didn't use too much water, you could actually get two tats out of one paper.
My fondest memory of a Cracker Jack toy wasn't the tats, tho. When I was like, 8 or 9, my parents took us to see Star Wars for the first time ever at the drive in. It was totally awesome! Sister and I got Cracker Jacks, and I got a compass. How appropriate was that? Here was Luke, lost on the big screen, and I got a compass.
Oh and while I was TOTALLY blown away by SW, my sister fell asleep during the big chase scene on the death star...HOW COULD SHE???? She was such a fartknocker...

Okay, the tats were my all time favorite. I remember getting a small ball in the box kind of the size of a ball you'd play jacks with. that was real cool too, but the tattoos were the greatest. I remember putting them on the back of our hands and then trying not to wash them so they would last longer.
My mother would always say I know that you did not just get out of the bath and that thing is still on your hand! hey I thought it was a good way to preserve it. Boy when you are small do you make some stupid decisions.

They came w/ toys?
hmm??? Where have I been?
How 'bout our favorite toy in the cereal box? Now THAT I remember. My favorite was the little submarine that you put baking soda in & it sunk & rose to the top of hte bath water over & over.
I liked those better than the color changing plastic spoon.

My 'rents didn't allow sweetened cereal at our house...I had to spend the night at my cousin's to get Lucky Charms (my fav), so I missed out on the cereal thing...
Have you seen the Spiderman toys in the cereal today (KT - YOU'D LOVE THEM!!!)? They have all these wrist light thingys, when you press the lever, they shine spiders or webs on the wall. They are TOO COOL! Leo's (my 4 yo) 4 different wrist lighty thingys.
What's your fav cereal? I LOVE Lucky Charms and Fruity Pebbles, in that order.

PS - OH! And KT - if you didn't find the toy, you ate the Cracker Jacks too fast....Better go get x-rayed! [ August 20, 2004, 09:14 AM: Message edited by: Niosgirl ]

If you dare say that one more time, I'm gonna crawl through the internet, pop out of your monitor and smack you upside the head (wouldn't that be a way to travel - kinda like WonkaVision only using the net?)! You have not disappointed me! I just worry...but I KNOW how it is to be in love with someone so much, and how badly it hurts when they change into someone that we can't respect or are consistantly mean. I hear your pain....I feel for you, you know?
Anyway. Yep. Very deprived - lol. We didn't get white bread either. Guess what I have in my house now? White bread AND sweetened cereal! My parents also insisted on having salad EVERY FREAKING NIGHT...and I was the one that had the chore of making it. So now, I just add an extra veggie...I was so darn sick of salad by the time I left the nest!

ROTFLMAO,
I can just see that. You traveling through Cyberspace. No White Bread. Did you have to eat Wheat Bread? I remember a kid in school. Yes I can remember that far back. She had to eat that horrible rye bread.
I am just a big kid. Been living with abuse way to long. Maybe some of my brain cells got fried.
