It amazes me that I seem to get emailed the right message at the right time for me. I have been really struggling here lately with lots of doubts and fears. I think we all have. Please read the following devotion. We are all at different places in this journey, but I think we can all take something from this message. Remember to focus on what is important. Take care!!
************************************************** DECEPTION-ONE OF SATAN'S WEAPONS -
"And there was war in heaven. Michael and his angels fought against the dragon, and the dragon and his angels fought back. But he was not strong enough, and they lost their place in heaven. The great dragon was hurled down—that ancient serpent called the devil, or Satan, who leads the whole world astray. He was hurled to the earth, and his angels with him." Revelation 12:7-9
Satan's desire is to lead the whole world astray! What a staggering statement! The enemy is out to lead every one of us astray. How? One of satan's strong weapons against Christians is Deception. Satan is the deceiver and father of all lies. The evil one is out to deceive the entire world, including your spouse!
Satan's plan for the church and family is to divide, discourage and destroy. Satan wants to steal, kill and destroy every marriage, every family and every person. Deception is one of satan's weapons that he used with Eve in the Garden, and he is still deceiving men and women around the world every day. Do you know and understand that your spouse was deceived, tempted and blinded from the truth of right and wrong? Satan uses deception every day and we do not understand that our Lord has given us a weapons to fight against him by the Blood of the Lamb, His Word and our testimony. You and I have divine authority behind us, and armed with weapons and ammunition, so we need to press forward into battle with confidence.
"Then I heard a loud voice in heaven say: "Now have come the salvation and the power and the kingdom of our God, and the authority of his Christ. For the accuser of our brothers, who accuses them before our God day and night, has been hurled down. They overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony." Revelation 12:10-11
How many people do you know personally who have been deceived by Satan and has fallen into sin? How many men and women do you know who have fallen by the deceiving and seducing tricks of the enemy? How many teenagers do you know who have been deceived by satan? Just think about the teenager's music!
In Vine's Complete Expository Dictionary under the meaning of "Deceive" it reads "...to cheat, deceive, beguile;" "...primarily a bait, snare;" :...a wandering from the right path; "to ensnare"' hence, to corrupt, especially by mingling the truths of the Word of God with false doctrines or notions..." Nelson's Three-In-One Bible Reference says meaning of deceiver is, "One who misleads others."
Are you proclaiming that you are standing and believing your Lord God for a miracle? I was considered a fanatic many years ago, but I spoke with my mouth, God's Word and my testimony of what the Lord was doing in my life and how I was believing the Lord for a miracle for our family. My Lord did not fail me, and I am still proclaiming His mighty power. Don't hide your Lord, proclaim who you are in Christ!
"One generation will commend your works to another; they will tell of your mighty acts...They will tell of the power of your awesome works, and I will proclaim your great deeds." Psalm 145:4,6
Eve was deceived in the Garden by the serpent, the enemy, who was very crafty and deceitful. Satan deceives and tempts us to fall into his trap of sin. I was deceived by listening to people's opinions about marriage and divorce. I listened to partial truths about the hope- lessness of our marriage. I did not seek the Lord for His will or believe in His mighty power. The enemy wants us to believe that we have no power to change our daily life with all of the circumstances. Satan does not want us to remember who our Heavenly Father is!
What does the Word say? God's people perish for lack of knowledge. (Hosea 4:6) I sinned, as did Eve, by believing the devil's lies, deceptions and temptations of the world. Your spouse has also been deceived, tricked and has fallen into sins of the world with no commitment to your marriage, anger, abuse, adultery, or some addictions.
The way out of the trap is by God's truths. The truth will set each of us free.
"Those who oppose him he must gently instruct, in the hope that God will grant them repentance leading them to a knowledge of the truth, and that they will come to their senses and escape from the trap of the devil, who has taken them captive to do his will." 2 Timothy 2:25-26
"...Jesus said, "If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free." John 8:31-32
You and I must be sensitive to the power of the Holy Spirit. We need to learn to listen to the wooing of the Holy Spirit. Are you thinking thoughts, but later discarding them, thinking it was your own thoughts, feelings or emotions? Ask the Holy Spirit if that was Him speaking to you, directing you on a different pathway of righteousness. Oh, that you and I may learn to hear our Lord God daily! That is why you and I need to pray for ALL prodigals around the world to hear and see the "Truth." May we all be obedient to the Lord's voice. The "Truth" will set us all free from the deceiver.
Throughout the Bible we read about many people who were tempted and deceived by satan's tricks and schemes. Your spouse was deceived by the enemy! They fell into temptation and a trap that caused them to be deceived, blinded, and taken captive by Satan. Have you been tempted and deceived? Have you been tempted to stop standing? Are you tired of doing things God's way? Do you want to "get on with your life?" Who do you think is giving you those thoughts, distractions and temptations of weariness?
"But I am afraid that just as Eve was deceived by the serpent's cunning, your minds may somehow be led astray from your sincere and pure devotion to Christ. For if someone comes to you and preaches a Jesus other than the Jesus we preached, or if you receive a different spirit from the one you received, or a different gospel from the one you accepted, you put up with it easily enough....For such men are false apostles, deceitful workmen, masquerading as apostles of Christ. And no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light. It is not surprising, then, if his servants masquerade as servants of righteousness. Their end will be what their actions deserve." 2 Corinthians 11:3-4, 13-15
You and I need to remember that Jesus Christ died on the cross and defeated Satan. Satan lost the War and Jesus Christ paid the price by shedding His Blood on Calvary. May you and I never forget that Satan has to flee, in the Name of Jesus. May you and I never be deceived, but learn and recognize the tricks of the enemy every day by the Holy Spirit. Our Lord is greater!

I recognised the power behind my FWWs deception right away. I let my family down as the spiritual leader of my household and thats all it took for satan to get a little hold on my wife. A friend of mine even gave me a heads up a week before D-Day. He said nothing specific, just that he saw something bad coming if I didn't get my house in order.
Believe it! Satans plan to undo everything starts with undoing any family he can. Guard yourselves!

Thank you for posting this, it's worth saving.
I've often wondered why my husband had an affair. He often wonders himself!! He wasn't looking, she just kind of singled him out and he made the mistake of listening. He and I used to work together and were a team. When he got a promotion, everything changed.
I don't know if this had anything to do with it, but the affair started 5 days after our whole family was baptized at church. I was going to Bible studies and learning as much as I could, yet he didn't have time to do this due to work. Kind of makes me wonder if satan picked him because he was an easier target, if you know what I mean?
In the end, I turned everything over to God and told Him that I couldn't handle this. He prompted my husband to make the correct decision to rebuild our marriage. Not a day goes by that I don't think about what He did for us.
