Yes, you read that right... I am now a grandma.

My stepson has been proven to be the father of a 5 wk old baby girl. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="images/icons/smile.gif" />
He took her to see my ILs on Sunday.. didn't bother to even call us to let us know about the pregnancy or the birth.. or the DNA results.
<img border="0" title="" alt="[Confused]" src="images/icons/confused.gif" /> He apparently now has joint custody of the little girl and has her every other WEEK... strange for a judge to grant an arrangement like that.. let alone a new mother...I know how I felt when Marcus was born.. I would have chewed off anyone's arm if they even mentioned taking him from me overnight, let alone a whole week!!!

I actually found out because sMIL posted 2 pics on our Family website... she says she tried to post a message, but was apparently too excited and must not have sent it.

*sigh*
Baby Mac is an Uncle.. and Lil Bit is an aunt...

I fear the young granny thing myself, since I had my son at 18... Geesh I still get carded for everything- imagine me saying in a few years "umm... let me in - I'm a grandmother!!" haa!!!

Stacia, you have really hit the mark now. All in just a little over a year you have become a mom and a grandma. That's cute!! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="images/icons/wink.gif" /> hope everything is going well! How did he get joint custody of his daughter? that is amazing I have never heard of such especially because they are not married, unless she agreed to it off the top.

Oh my, Stacia, another baby in the family. Wow! I'm really starting to think that you were destined to be surrounded by little ones, whether they be yours by birth or not. I hope your step-son knows what a great resource he has in you. I hope he knows what a gem you are....grandma.
