I was reading today and found this. Please read it. As far as this being a Marriage building concept: to me to change my soul, my feelings, my anger and hatred, and heart was to help my M survive. I have to admit, when I came here (or when God put me here) I was looking for support and a shoulder to cry my oh poor me's on. I found people here wanted to help, and some who wanted to help me hurt somemore. I can say that our lives and what we are living is for a reason and what we learn and how we use it in the future will make all the difference in the people we will become. I was told saturday, our first visit w/ the A (oc) in our home and my H g-father came in and saw him, the first thing he told me was that I was one heck of a woman. I looked at him and smiled and told him God makes me that way, he expects nothing less from me! I'm not here to pat myself on the back, but to help. I found my peace in my bible, my god and nothing else. I am not perfect and yes still have good and bad days. But learning the meaning of what you are going though, may help your M and your family, it did mine. So with all that said here is the site and I hope it helps someone here strugling w/ your situation.

Thankyou...your messages and advice have really helped me take a look from different perspectives.
I must say I'm amazed at how so many carry on and survive plus make the OC part of there lives.
I'm not so sure where I stand now with that. i keep going back and forth.

I finally had to tell my mother what was going on and like I knew she would...tell me that I din't have to take on any more children. And my children should not be exposed to the OC either.

Part of me wants to take her advice ...but the other part of me says if my H has to have contact that I must also be willing to participate for us to survive. How else will we do holidays/family reunions etc.

i just wish the answers came easlier!

Lori
