Pep,
If you can spare a min...I've got a med ?
I've got high bp which is under control with meds. This morning when I got up, showered and went thru my normal morning routine, I had this....oy....well, it was like most of what I was seeing out of my left eye was normal and in focus, but the right corner of my vision in that eye was blurred like I was looking thru water or something. I was also a little dizzy....I couldn't check my bp because I need new batteries, but once my meds kicked in (I take them in the morning), my vision and lightheaded-ness disappeared.
I've heard about hbp people having flashers (flashing lights), but never anything like this...it sounds like it was my bp, huh? Is there anything else it could've been?
Muchas gracias, Kimmy

Could be a migraine aura NOT followed by a headache.
How long did it last?
How do you feel now?
Pep (I am getting swamped at work right now, may be awhile before I come back, but I will.)

Actually, I have the beginnings of a headache (had a migraine last night). I'm thinking I'm gonna crawl under my desk for awhile....
Thanks, Pep.

Nios-- this is very strange! The same thing has happened to me about 4 times in the last few years. I have never had hb pressure, though.
In the same eye, I've had a big blotch that was something like a prism- or like water as you said- and followed by feeling dizzy and like I could vomit. It lasted each time for apx. 1/2 hour and was very scary. I never had it checked or anything, cause I'm a fool- lol- but will wait to see if Pep has any idea about this.

Thank you Pep! I bookmarked the site. I've been suffering with migraines since right after ds #1 was born - geez almost 15 years now. They tend to show up the week of af and sometimes last the entire week. Since going on the bp meds, they've not been as frequent or severe, and I NEVER had the vision thing till yesterday. Ug. Tell me they'll go away after menopause (36 and already looking forward to it... ).
You're the bomb diggity!
