Pep~
You said over on the stow thread:
quote:
See my sig line... one of my new favorite MB posters on GQII is Sadfww.. (My sig line is teasing her for something funny she previously said to me) .. Sadfww gives the BEST advice. Go check her out. PLUS... she's an attorney! (but, I don't hold that against her. ~LOL)

I have checked her out, and replied to her before, she is GOOD! I really am amazed at how many awesome FWW there are. Such insight! I know there have been some not so good ones too, (to put it mildly), like "S", but for the most part many are a real asset, and the forums are blessed to have them. Hey, and then of course there's one of the best well known FWW there is guiding people to M recovery daily, on her site, and through her counseling. Now there's an inspiration!
I don't know if you know this Pep, and doubt you'd recall, what with the volume of posting you do, but you wrote me the most memorable, kindest, yet simple replies I've ever received. It was a few short months post d-day, whilst still P, and I had just entered the scary waters of attempting to help others, after months of only seeking help for myself, H and M. Your brief words gave me so much confidence that has helped me to continue to give advice to this day. Thanks!

PS. Tried to respond to Sadfww on her current thread, and pushed the tab and lost, ARGGGH! Always in such a darn hurry. Wanted to catch up w/ FL as well, and did. [ October 27, 2004, 09:11 PM: Message edited by: Autumn Day ]

Careful... you're going to ruin my reputation for being "tough" ! ~LOL~
I really don't care which side of the fence people are "from" only their current attitude of pro-marriage and a willingness to grow.
I have learned much from my husband, who is a FWH. He does not post. He only reads MB when I ask him to. But he has taught me so much about love and forgiveness and fortitude to endure the very difficult and challenging times in a marriage. Mostly, he's taught me to never give up if staying married is really what you want. There were times in our recovery where I was too mentally exhausted to go on, and I was ready to throw in the towel, even tho that is not what I wanted. His personal recovery preceeded mine, and he was a great help to me when I was feeling very weak.
Sometimes I wonder about "divine intervention" ... there are some fairly spooky miracles that occur on these boards sometimes... a strange connection between unlikely posters can open up a well of understanding and literally push forward someone's healing at an amazing rate.

It's the same for my H and I, only obviously he is the betrayed. His personal recovery has been much more swift than mine. He has also taught me more about forgiveness through his actions than any one person would ever be able to write or even preach about.
Yes, very spooky about the unlikely connections made through MB. Someone who's posts made me bristle when I first came here, has become someone very dear to me, and she has said the same about me, (well, not the bristling part ).
In my particular situation, this site has been very liberating to me, as you all are all I have to share this part of my life with, besides my DH of course.
Speaking of divine intervention, I like to think of our baby as such. Don't know where or what I might still be doing if not for the baby. Never thought I'd say that, but I don't think I'm too far off, especially when my DH often says, "what a blessing you are, little guy"!! Crapola, now I'm crying, and my throat hurts.

Oh, and I'd never want to ruin your tough guy rep!!!
Your "toughness", and forthrightness is why what you said last year meant so much to me. I couldn't believe what I said was being "endorsed" by you. Yet I knew you to be a real straight shooter, so surely you meant what you said! It meant so much to me, that's why I've never forgotten.
