Hi Everyone, I saw a thread in Recovery about movies to avoid due to strong infidelity plots. I thought I would pass on the warning about "Ray". I saw it this weekend.....wish I had seen the thread before I did. Ray was a major womanizer and had several long term mistresses, one who had his baby. He wrote songs about them that became big hits...... .while he professes he loves his wife. Major triggers for ME. Acting very good, but not for new BW w/OC!

I'm so sorry you stumbled into a movie with triggers! That SUCKS!
XOW told me prior to DDay to go see a movie in which H leaves wife for her best friend. OMGOLLY Like she was going to do that to me? The plot is: Wife falls in love w/someone new. Thanks for the advice xow--NOT.
I never saw it but it still makes me mad. My DDay happened during the Clinton-Lewinsky fiasco too. Yuck.

Thanks for the info about Closers(?). We are doing pretty well these days and I don't go to the movies with my Former!-WW to see a movie that takes me back to where we don't want to be. I want to laugh and see romance and have fun.
I had become so insulated to all the movies, TV shows and songs that are about adultery. Not anymore! And I am truly horrified that I didn't notice how prevelant they are. This must be part of Satan's plan.....to make us think adultery/cheating/lying/etc. is just part of life and everyone does it and we should expect it.
People are becoming numb to sin.

Sitting down actually listening to the words of a song, to realize how many deal with cheating. Some of these are my kids favorite songs. Then just to watch T.V. Really sad.
