Whoa NElly....this seems so fast....like I would really know. LOL

What kind of shin-dig are you planning? You know I just renewed my vows & planned it on really short notice & an even tighter budget so if you want any hints, tips ect....you know my email.

Start reading up on all that EN stuff now & go over the EN questionnaire. IT IS really helpful whether you agree w/ SH principles or not........they are still real helpful.

I am soooo happy for you too.

Christmas bells are ringing.....& wedding bells to boot!

Congrats to you.

I love weddings...big, small! I just went to a great small wedding. It was beautiful. They had it at a local historic mansion. It was all done in a 20's theme. Small, but so elegant and so fun.

The attire matched the home. They rented the attire at a costume shop. The photos are amazing. They had some done in black and white and with the attire and the background they will be classic. Not like mine. Mine were typical 80's with the big hair, big poufy dress, so terribly dated! Their cake was on the smaller side, but decorated with fresh flowers...beautiful. They served sheet cake to the guests and took the cake for their anniversary. It was a beautiful affair (excuse the pun!!) The music was done by the local college music students, all music from the 20's. They had a dance instructor teaching some period moves and it was just amazing. Everyone had a good time!

We are eloping in New Orleans!

We will be married in the parlour of a historic Bed & Breakfast where we are staying in the Garden District. After the ceremony, a horse drawn carriage will take us to the French Quarter, where after a short tour/ride, we will have a romantic dinner at Bella Luna. After that, it's back to our honeymoon suite at the B&B, where champagne will be chilling.

I'm encorporating Christmas into the ceremony a bit. I'm walking 'down the aisle' to a BEAUTIFUL violin rendition of "O Holy Night", and we will have a small cake decorated for the season.

My darling has never been married, and intends to spoil me rotten with this( you would die if you saw the RING!). He wants everything to be perfect. He even asked my Mother's "permission" when we took her out to dinner. She's absolutely thrilled!
Right now I'm in the process of running around like a madwoman getting a dress, shoes, etc. I have most of it worked out. My biggest challenge at the moment is SHOES. God love him, but my darling is a bit...um...'vertically challenged', and I happen to be quite tall. Barefoot I stand about two inches above him, so...LO!

Luckily we have a Reverend/Wedding Planner handling everything in N.O for us, so we pretty much just have to showup, get our license, and it's done. This guy has been GREAT.

I'm sooooo happy I couldn't ask for anything more!
On top of everything else, my sweet darling is planning to buy us a great big house for the boys and I to live in happily ever after...

And as soon as the courts will allow him, he wants to adopt my little man, and we will be complete.

It sounds FAB!!!!! What a great song to walk down aisle with, simply beautiful!!

Nothing wrong with big sparkler on your finger!!!

Shoes, hmmmmmmmm. So many shoes, so little time!!! If you are already two inches taller, why not strut like a super model and get whatever shoes you want!! Obviously he knows he is shorter, so it's not like he wants you to slump around with your shoulders hunched. Get what looks the best and shine on your big day.

God I love weddings!!!!!!

Maybe I should renew too, oh wait, the kids have lessons, school, the oldest has college tuition due, the dog is getting old, who would take care of her? The family is coming for the holidays, my neice is having a baby in Feb, so showers in January. HMMMMM maybe spring, oh wait, soccer starts, then we have track and of course our houseguest is graduating and the party will be here. Summer is nice, but stop, the kids are out of school, and all the summer camps and family reunions..........I guess I will have to wait!!!!! But I think I will just dream one up. Hey, I can at least I can go for a wedding night!!!!!!!!

MNTB,

I want to add my congratulations to the list! I also want to add my own personal, USE THE PRINCIPLES from this site! I know that at times they are made fun of, especially on other sites, but if you REALLY look into the principles and how they work, they make TONS of sense! I pray that you and your honey have a long, loving, happy, healthy M, and hope that you will continue to post here in the manner that you have always come here! And keep us updated on the possible/hopeful adoption as well!!!!

Congrats again!

Tigger

My Dec. wedding with Nio (we were married twice, one small ceremony with a JP, then a HUGE thang in Dec with EVERYONE AND A FEW DOGS). My whole theme was centered around Christmas. I made my own bouquet with red roses and white poinsettas and holly garland. It sits as a table topper on my table every year (silk flowers). My bridesmaids all carried a single white poinsetta flower with a ribbon tied around. The church was already decorated for Christmas, so I didn't have to do anything there. My cake...oy vey! My cake...was GORGEOUS! My mother in law made it and it was decorated with deep red and white poinsettas...(((sigh)))

Christmas is the BEST time for a wedding, imo. My sister was married at Christmas time, my mother and not bio dad married on Christmas eve and Nio and I tied the knot before God the 16th of Dec.

(sniff)

Your wedding is going to be GORGEOUS! I wish I could be a fly on the wall!

hey,

I haven't talked to you in awhile, but would like to extend my deepest congrats on your blessed event. I agree with the others Cristmas is a wonderful time to join lovers in matrimony. Your day sounds as though it is going to be wonderful.

I am a sucker for weddings in general and love to see them at this time of year. New Orleans is a great place for a wedding and you'll love the city. don't forget to trot on down to Bourbon Street while in the French Quarters. Please have a wonderful time and enjoy the new blessings that God has bestowed upon you.

See once we move forward in our lives and learn from our mistakes He does grant your hearts desires (and you deserve to have them), so Live, Love, and Dance.

Sending you prayers of Joy,

JT
