I think that if you're new here, and to the whole situation, going there won't do you any good. I participated mostly on the Children's board, and have occasionally posted on the general board there, and unless you have very thick skin - it's not an easy place to "break into"..

Have to agree with JM on this one. Depending on where you are in your healing is wheather or not you should lurk or whatever over there. I only posted in the children's board and I even get scared of General and ow/om board. Very rarely did I ever post on the other boards. Believe it or not......even this xow skin is not as thick as may seem.

tewjtm--

Why are you trying to encourage a BW to deal with a site that she is NOT welcomed to post on. They are always ADAMENT about it-- and have evem gotten somehow MORE ridiculous about the lack of fairness and patience dealing w/a BW going there.

Go tell your crew over at OWLand that you are over here at MB ENCOURAGING BWs to post... oh boy what a joke.

But Cali will and can find out on her own. Hopefully she can stomach the mess and if she posts she can kiss enough bootay and tiptoe around her truths enough to not be called names, harassed and then just deleted.

I think Joshsmom or Marysway have always been very fair - good people to consult with regarding some OW questions, concerns or fair discussions. They are usually very willing to help. And they are around HERE!

My question is about scarlet A that I've seen referred to. What's that???

PM

There is a classic book called The Scarlet Letter by Nathaniel Hawthorne.

The description from Amazon.com: It is 1642 in the Puritan town of Boston. Hester Prynne has been found guilty of adultery and has born an illegitimate child. In lieu of being put to death, she is condemned to wear the scarlet letter A on her dress as a reminder of her shameful act.

Hester's husband had been lost at sea years earlier and was presumed dead, but now reappears in time to witness Hester's humiliation on the town scaffold. Upon discovering her deed, the vengeful husband becomes obsessed with finding the identity of the man who dishonored his wife. To do so he assumes a false name, pretends to be a physician and forces Hester keep his new identity secret. Meanwhile Hester's lover, the beloved Reverend Dimmesdale, publicly pressures her to name the child's father, while secretly praying that she will not. Hester defiantly protects his identity and reputation, even while faced with losing her daughter, Pearl.

Hey wannabophim. Papermom wasn't talking about the book the scarlet affair. I think what she was referring to is the website. www.scarlet.com. It's an anti-other woman hate site that spend their time bashing some of the posters over at TOW.

Well, yes, sort of. Demi Moore starred in the drastically altered version of the novel. For the real deal, though, the Meg Foster version is the way to go.

BTW, I took a gander at the scarleta website. Laughed out loud so much my H came in to see what I was taking.
