We had a Boy!!!

I've been in the hospital for sooo long. Our son came 7 wks early and by the grace of God is perfect and healthy...just very small. He was born just a little over 4lbs which I'm told is a pretty good weight for a preemie.(My previous children were all over 8lbs)

I came through it a little worse for wear, emergency c-section and hemmhoraging, but we are both home and recovering nicely now. He's just beautiful...

It's nice to be back and seeing new people and old ones doing well or at least still keeping the faith. Hugs to Everyone!!

My first was 6 weeks early too, emergency c-section & 4lb 1oz. What was the reason?
If I knew you (IRL), I'd be crochetting you a preemie baby beanie. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="images/icons/grin.gif" />

Can you believe they come SOOOO tiny? Make sure you takes TONS of pictures.

We took a picture of baby w/ this little stuffed doll & the doll was a bit bigger than baby. Years (12 this month <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="images/icons/grin.gif" /> ) later, we still have the doll & you can't believe how SMALL it is.

Or take baby's picture next to a shoe or something so you can have somethign to compare the size too. kwim?

CONGRATULATIONS again!!!!!!!! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="images/icons/grin.gif" /> <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="images/icons/grin.gif" /> <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="images/icons/grin.gif" />

The doc told me that the placenta was abnormal due to some fibrous tissue he couldn't identify, he sent it to a lab for testing. I'm not sure what that means.

I will be sure to take pictures of my little angel beside something for size reference....Thanks for the great idea.
