My H had to go to the court house to pick up a "Custody Packet" with all of the forms relating to custody and parenting time. It cost about $100, then he and OW went through the form together and filled it out in a way they could agree on. They went to the court house together to sign, notarize and file the paperwork. A meeting was scheduled with the court for the two of them to go over the paperwork with a judge and finalize the order. If they both agree on everything they probably won't need an actual hearing. But, it took four years for them to come to an agreement. In the end, OW gave us what we had originally asked for (which she was completely against since OC's birth). Crazy.

It was pretty cheap, all in all it cost less than $300. The key is that they agree, and sign it together as a plan they both agree to.

Good luck, Cali....thanks for your responses, too!

Hugs,
T

I'll have to remember that. oc is 2 now and we're over seas. They can't sem to come to any type of agrreement. It sucks because I kind of feel like my life is in limbo until they do. I just want everything done and concrete. The a and ow/oc were enough of a shock, and suprise I'm not up for any more. Hopefully when we get back to the states or when we go home to visit again we can do the same. Your story is very encouraging though. Thank you.
