Dad's lawyer told him that she filed for bankruptcy and had over $50,000 in unsecured debt. How the hell does that happen? This woman makes very good money (RN), collects the state maximum amount of child support (around $700) and she is bankrupt. She tried to file for Chap 7 but the court refused to approve it saying she needed to file a Chap 11(?). The plan where you pay back your debt over a 3-5 year period or something like that. No wonder she wanted an increase in child support. Dad said his lawyer can access her bankruptcy filing from the internet and he would send me a copy. She was obviously living well beyond her means. I remember when she wanted dad to pay her $5,000 a month in child support. What a joke. I can't wait to see who she owes money to. I wonder how this will affect OC. Dad says on the 3-5 year plan you live on a very tight budget. I will keep you posted.

I thought it was weird the way she was literally stalking you a while back. Out of the blue, wanting contact, etc. This pretty much explains it. She was looking for a handout...somebody else to clean up her messes...
Our ow also got herself into a financial situation and expected us to help bail her out. She recently sold her home, but our laywers had leins against it for her past behavior.
The lessons in life learned the hard way are those that stick with you. I am sure that our ow will think twice about how to handle situations that arise in the future, she might not be so quick to run to court. This ow in your situation needs to learn how to budget her money. 3-5 years is not a lifetime. It will serve he well to live within her means. Don't we all have to do that? Why should she be any different?
Don't feel to sorry for her. If she is an RN, she is not a stupid person. She needs to learn.

I'm very relieved that it was about money. For a while there we were worried that she was becoming mentally unstable again especially after she told OC about me.

I guess this would explain WHY she couldn't afford the private school on her own & sought after your dad to pay for it.
I remmember you posted that he agreed to it. He IS sending the payments straight to the school right?
Wonder where all that CS went? <img border="0" title="" alt="[Roll Eyes]" src="images/icons/rolleyes.gif" /> That's a LOT of $$$$$.
crazy.

I think I made a valid point. Do you want OW in YOUR life that way? Not I! Last thing I need is OW up in my finances. OW only needs to know what my H makes. She doesn't need to know the other half, which would be my money.
It just seems that would just cause more problems down the road. ****edit***** ent

I hope nobody minds my asking, but what does "STOW" stand for? I know "OW" is "other woman", but what's the "ST"?
I know it's probably something real obvious, but just thought I'd ask.
Thanks

I will only post the most outrageous. She was living well beyond her means. Here are some examples. I rounded off the numbers from schedule F.
Two Citibank Visa cards=$17,500 Two Discover Cards= $19,000 Jewelry Store= $9800- diamond tennis bracelet, diamond ear rings $ necklace <img border="0" title="" alt="[Roll Eyes]" src="images/icons/rolleyes.gif" /> Department store= $4,000 Catering for a Christmas party=$3,000 <img border="0" title="" alt="[Roll Eyes]" src="images/icons/rolleyes.gif" />
This is from schedule J. Her are some of her current monthly expenses.
Mortgage=$850 Electricity and heating fuel- $100 Telephone- $40 Home Maintenance- $350 <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="images/icons/shocked.gif" /> Food-$700 (for 2 people <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="images/icons/shocked.gif" /> ) Clothing- $1000 <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="images/icons/shocked.gif" /> <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="images/icons/shocked.gif" /> <img border="0" title="" alt="[Mad]" src="images/icons/mad.gif" /> Laundary and dry cleaning= $200 Transportation (gas, maintence of car)-$150 Recreation-$500 Charity- $100 Auto Insurance-$80 Car Payment= $210
She spends more money on clothes that she does rent. She takes home (after taxes) almost $5,000 a month. RN's make very good money apparently. I know she got a Masters Degree. On top of that she collects child support and dad pays for daycare and medical. She did not even list daycare as a monthly expense. Dad must have to pay all of it. No wonder they would not let her file a chapter 7. Outrageous.
KT,
Yes dad will pay the school directly.
entwife- Uhh I missed what you said. Maybe next time. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="images/icons/wink.gif" />

Cody... I just don't understand why you would even want to know OW's finances. Is it necessary for you to know? I guess it doesn't seem very "nice" or "Christian" to make light of someone else's misfortune. Whether it's of their own making or not.

Indeed.
Especially since this (Below) was the attitude concerning $$ and finances that was expounded upon here previously:
</font><blockquote><font size="1" face="Verdana, Arial">quote:</font><hr /><font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial">From Cody G: Dad told the lawyer on Friday to contact OW and have her produce her tax returns for the last 3 years. The lawyer sent the OW a fax and she replied back right away. She wants to see HIS income for the last 3 years now. What a stupid woman. Does she really think she is entitled to this info? </font><hr /></blockquote><font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial">(and later she Did provide this info)
Sooooo, His "private" ...hers (???)
Just not sure what the point is to "pass" this information around the Cody G family (for some cheap ha, ha's) and then even post it on a board.
Sounds like this father is still very much the Arrogant person that felt he was entitled to have an A......and then walk away from His child once it was No Longer "convenient". <small>[ March 04, 2005, 06:06 AM: Message edited by: top rope ]</small>

WHERE did you get that from? left field?
Just because he requested to look @ OW financial status when SHE wanted him to pay for OC PRIVATE school? Cody's father is under NO obligation for something so optional & from cody's previous post on this thread, his dad was paying more than he was obligated to already. Hardly sounds arrogant.
AND how utterly rude & disrespectful to insult someones father TO their son. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="images/icons/shocked.gif" /> <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="images/icons/shocked.gif" />
Why don't you save the insults for person you feel them towards.

Cody has the right to post how HE feels about HIS situation on this forum without being insulted or degraded.
Perhaps he could benefit from the "critical" posters if they were to convey how THEY felt when THEY WERE the BETRAYED CHILD.

WOW
If she is so hard up on money, she needs to start budgeting her money.
I can't believe she has the balls to expect your father to pay more $$ so she can live well beyond her means.

Now this is interesting.
Notice that the OW and women who post like OW are the ones telling the betrayed child that he has no right to know and make public the financial situation of the woman who has attempted to raid his birthright for her own consumption? - it's apparent this wasn't for the good of her child at this point.
Cody, don't let the marriage intruders try to tell you how to feel. I think this answers a lot of questions for you and your family.
