I've read that TELLING a man exactly what you want IS subtle......to them! LOL Probably why the 'language of flowers' & the 'language of the fan' was so widely known & studied back in Victorian days! I wish we could go back to that. I know, I know...the corset & no pants...but I would like being expected to dress like a lady & go 'calling' for 'tea' VERY much! I shared the link to the necklace with my mommy group and also asked their opinion. One came back with this:
The standard gift for 10 years is tin or aluminum. Therefore you should buy him a 12 pack and meet him at the door in a tinfoil bikini.
After I picked myself up off the floor, I replied:
As long as it's not a THONG bikini.
Then they asked what I wanted and I told them a camera.
The same woman replied:
Pour him a beer while dressed in the bikini and you can pick and damn camera you want, blondie.
I told Nio and he agreed.

We were being schmaltzy last night. We always get schmaltzy the night before the babies go home. Both of us breathe for the day when we're all together!

Thank you NC. The mommies are da bomb. We met on babycenter - many of us while TTC (trying to conceive). We all have babies born Nov. 99, and all of us at the time we met were WM (working mommies). A couple are SAHM now and the rest of us are insanely jealous! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="images/icons/grin.gif" /> We've been friends a long time...really neat thing here...I've only met a few of them IRL, tho I've talked to nearly all of them on the phone. I count them among my best friends. How cool is that?
