I moved out 8/20. H promised to get counseling, take meds, etc. He has been to counseling but has not started taking the prozac yet. I think he is afraid of it. We have been seeing each other 2-3 times a week, but we haven't made love since a few days after I moved out. Our conversations have been good. I made a comment last night about things not being that different. He said things were different and he isn't any happier now that I've moved. We both concluded that the only way he will be happy is to follow through with treatment.
He then dropped a bombshell on me. He has been asked to consider a promotion within the company at another office (6 hours away). The up side is that our son goes to school in that town and our daughter lives halfway there. He said if he does take the job he wants us to see each other at least once a month until we decide where we are going. I did great. I felt like crying, but I didn't. Maybe it won't be such a bad thing, but part of me feels like we will grow further apart.
At any rate, I told him it didn't matter what I thought, that he needed to make himself happy. He said it did matter what I thought, so that made me feel somewhat better. I can't believe my life has turned out like this.
Any thoughts on long distance reconciliation?
