Funny, isn't it that no one has replied to this post? I have often thought of many of the ironies that you posted here today. And ain't it the truth? The sad, very sad truth? Maybe that's why there are so many of us with these horrible problems to contend with. We have all moved so far away from God and His word, ignoring His laws, statutes and judgments-so caught up with trying to get through life, all the distractions that keep us from the things that are really important in life and all the peace and wholeness that could be ours. Yet, we busy ourselves with life's events without looking to God for guidance. And some of us, like me in particular, are angry at God for allowing these things to have happened in my life. Yet, He understands and forgives me.
God knows we are like this-he made us like this...and somewhere in the Scriptures he talks to us through the prophets lamenting that his sheep have strayed and will continue to stray as long as we turn our backs on Him. Human, fallible nature.
There was a time when people looked to the Lord and they were blessed. Our society has changed so much. God has become so secondary. I believe that God is bringing us to our knees by allowing us to plummet to depths we have never been before, just to make us realize what is important and remember Him, to turn our hearts and minds back to Him.

Funny, isn't it . . .
How everyone assumes that if you're not a practicing, gospel-preaching Christian, that you've "moved away from God."
------------------
/// Lone Star * ///

I didn't mean to step on anyones toes, I guess I just needed sore feet myself. I posted this because it really hit home for me. I've been doing a lot more praying in the last few months, and trying to be a better person, yet many of these things really made me think.
Have a wonderful day all.
B

------------------
There are deep sorrows and killing cares in life, but the encouragement and love of friends were given us to make all difficulties bearable.
-- John Oliver Holmes
The opposite of love is not hate, it's indifference.
-- Elie Wiesel
