Last year for 'V' Day, I didn't think my H would get me anymore than a card. Money was tight. I gave him a little gift basket of candy and some 'crafty' things I made for him. He suprised me with a ring with 4 small diamonds and 5 hearts. He wrote a beautiful poem about how the ring represented our forever interlocking hands. The poem was neatly written on a cut-out heart card that he made. He wrapped a ribbon around the heart so when unfolded, the ring was in the middle (with the poem). I thought I could never love a person more than I loved him at that moment. The sweet innocent look on his face like he had no idea how great and wonderful I thought he was, is a look I'll never forget. ![[Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]](http://www.marriagebuilders.com/forum/images/icons/frown.gif)
I just miss him tonight and wanted to tell my story. ![[Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]](http://www.marriagebuilders.com/forum/images/icons/frown.gif)
I hope all are well tonight. Happy Valentine's Day. ![[Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]](http://www.marriagebuilders.com/forum/images/icons/smile.gif)

Hi SW,
Wonderful story that will always warm your heart. No one can take that feeling away from you. Things may not be "right" presently. You can always go back in time and regain the feeling.
I often revisit our Honeymoon in Va Beach. What's the attraction with VA? I don't know. Maybe happy memories. I can feel the sand between my toes, the warmth of the sun on my face, the love of my new W.
Gotta go, have some sand in my shorts.
Take care, God Bless.
Tim

studentwife,
I remember all to well last year as well, money was very tight I took out a personal loan from a friend to get H his Birthday and valentines day gift(same day)it was something he has wanted for years, I didn't think I would get anything more than a card from the kids bought by him, but he gave me the most wonderful thing I have seen, it looks like a real rose smells like a real rose and feels like a real rose, but it is an Oregon wooden rose in a glass hand blown vase it is so beautiful I couldn't even open it, I never want it to deteriorate so I leave it wrapped up tight, this year we were going to go to Hawaii it would have been our honeymoon we never had we were going for the first time anywhere without the kids but now I am here and he is there and I didn't even get the card from the kids(I still sent him his and always will)but I know how bad today sucks trust me instead of being on the warm beach with my H we are 4000 miles apart and I feel like he hates me.
Lesa

------------------
"Trust in the Lord with all thine heart, and
lean not unto thine own understanding." -Proverbs 3:5
Take care and God Bless.
lms20ish@jobe.net
[This message has been edited by LMS (edited February 14, 2000).]
