Hopefully there is someone out there that can help me cope with my bad day today.
My wife had to work today so it is giving me plenty of time to think and let my mind wonder (probably too much).
I am very depressed today. It was one week ago that I confronted my wife about her affair and she admitted to it. she did answer some of my questions early in the week but neither one of us has said much about it since Thursday night. I feel like I have to ask questions to get the answers. I wish she would volunteer some information to me, whether it be about her feelings, thoughts, etc. She has still not said whether she is going to end the affair or not. She agreed that it is not a good thing and that it "probably" shouldn't continue. So, here I am ...left hanging in the wind!!!! Does that mean it is over? Has she ended it? The thing that I am most frustrated with right now is that I am going to have to ask her again about all this!!!!! I'm afraid that eventually she is going to get sick of me asking all of these questions. But, she will not tell me ANYTHING unless I ask!
I have read on MB that you should negotiate to end the affair, not demand it. Does anyone have any advice?????? How do I "negotiate" without demanding?? I don't think I can sit around while this is still going on. I know the OM paged her the other day, but I don't know if she returned the page. I'm afraid she is going to ignore him and hope it goes away, but there's no "finallity" to that. The door will still be open! I feel like as long as the door is open, every part of my Plan A is a waste of time. How can I deposit units in her love bank if she is not receptive.
Things have been a little better (at least on the outside) this week. She still cannot tell me she loves me or engage in any kind of intimate things (sex, kissing, etc). She does still give me hugs, a peck on the lips, and she will hold my hand. But, does this mean anything???? Is she doing these things out of guilt or are they sincere??!!??
I did by Dr. Harley's book this week, "Surviving An Affair" and she knows I am reading it. Do I ask her to read it? How do I go about asking without sounding demanding???
Any, I've vented enough and I'm starting to ramble. I have a lot of questions right now and any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks!
Doug

------------------
Don't give up...don't ever give up!" --Jimmy Valvano
