Hello,
I just got an e-mail from my husband. He said he came to town to open up his checking acct. I don't understand why he had to come here to open up a checking acct. and have his check directly deposited when he lives 40 minutes from here with his ow. He said he stopped by the house but couldn't get in. I changed the locks and never told him. He said he had come to get his gun that his dad gave him. He said it was the only thing his father gave him that he ever really valued. He said he was I afraid I would sell it or something awful like that. Well, that ticked me off. He must not know me very well to think I would go and sell his dad's antique gun. Let's see, I have only known him since I was in the 7th grade and I am now 30. I have never done anything like that to anyone! So, all of a sudden, I am going to run out and start selling his stuff! He also wanted to let me know what time the movie starts tomorrow. We are going to see a movie together, the four of us that is. The boys want to see "Snow Day". So, I e-mailed him back and told him that I had the locks changed because I feel that since he doesn't live here anymore, he doesn't have the right to come in here when I am not home. I also told him that I hoped he knew me better than to think that I would sell his gun. The thing is, I don't have his gun right now because at the beginning of this thing when he was sort of a nutcase, his brother asked me to get the gun out of the house. So, the gun is at my parents right now. I told my husband the next time I go visit that I will take the gun to his brother's and then he can get it from him. I am not giving it to him myself. I think he was just saying he wanted the gun. I really think he was here for other stuff such as the tv and what not! Well, I am darned proud of myself for changing the locks! Now, I need to talk to my sister's husband, the lawyer and see if it was ok for me to change the locks! I feel it is in my own best interest at this time. I don't want him taking anything until we have our divorce settled. At that time we can decide how we will divide everything up. I still don't trust the man. That is very hard for me to say that. I guess I really don't trust the ow. I have no idea what she will put him up to. Her husband told me that she cleaned him out while he was at work. He didn't change his locks until she pretty much took everything. So, I have a feeling that she is telling my husband to take what he can get. Well, I saved myself that trouble. I am not going to have him coming here and doing that kind of stuff.
Tomorrow should be really interesting now. YIKES! I guess I knew he would show up here today. I just had no idea when. I guess the next thing he can do is try and break in. I hope he doesn't try that. We are going to have to talk about how we are going to handle things from now on tomorrow. This is becoming messy already and I don't like it! The thing is, I didn't ask for any of this. He is the one who decided to sleep with the ow and then decided to move in with her. I am not responsible for his actions! I am making sure I am keeping my credit card bills paid on time. I am going to sit down and make a budget tonight to see how much I need to be able to keep the good car. When I move back home I hope to find a better job. Right now, my goal is to go out there in to the real world after this divorce (that I haven't started yet) is final and make myself the best darned woman around! I want to do my best to make more money than my husband does! That will take awhile but I want him to see that I don't need him! By the way, I came to a realization last night! I got the boys into bed and realized I was alone! You know what? It felt GOOD! I didn't have to answer to anyone! JUST ME! Now, I love that feeling! I laughed too because my husband sort of hated having someone that he felt he had to answer to! Well, he still has someone to answer to! HA HA HA HA HA HAHA! I DON'T! I am loving this! I feel good!
Wow, I am venting here now! I do feel good and I am going to go out there and do the best darned job I can at taking care of my kids and myself!
By the way, please everyone pray for me to have the strength to get through the day with my husband tomorrow! I need all the help I can get!
~Woozy

woozy,
I just got back... explain in a separate post of my own later.
Do check with an attorney about changing the locks... in my state(NJ) it is not allowed if the spouse's name is on the deed. ALL you can do (in that case) is take a big time inventory! A video camera... going from room to room... is the best way!
You are riding this awful roller coaster... a little up now... a little down later... and so on.
I'm praying for you...
