I think netscape has a backwards telephone search where you can type in a phone number and it will tell you who it belongs to. It's not perfect, but you might get lucky

Have you already tried caller ID? You can also make it so non-published numbers don't come through. I think if you * 66 a hang up number it will tell you the last number that dialed the number your at as well. Ya - go to metacrawler.com, scroll down the page a touch until you get to "people find" follow instructions - you can even find out the names of neighbors if you need to.<P>Can you say what's up????? The phone company here has a service called Name Finders Plus. You can get the number through information. You just type in the number and it tells you who the phone is listed to.<P>Don't know if this is available everywhere but it is worth a shot. Sometimes it is called reverse information.<P>Acacia

If the number is unlisted, yu could try calling it and take a fake survey to find out who it is. just an idea.
