You know how they have public service announcements for drugs, alcohol, and smoking? Why don't they have one for cheating? I especially like the one where the girl has a frying pan and she's destroying the kitchen. She's talking about drugs and what it does to your brain and your life, but she could just as easily be talking about what infidelity and cheating does to your life.<P>Just this week, I found out that one of my favorite co-workers was cheating on his girlfriend of 6 YEARS with another woman he met in a bar. He had been cheating for over 6 months. What sucks, is that the girl he had been cheating on was extremely supportive of his long hours of schoolwork. Now that he is getting ready to graduate, he cheats and dumps her for a "model" he met in a bar. His ex-girlfriend is so sweet, too. It makes me so mad! I told him that he did his ex-girlfriend a big favor by leaving her because he has a long way to go before he is ready for marriage. I feel so sorry for his ex-girlfriend. She supported him for so long, and now that it is time for them to finally enjoy the fruits of their labor, he leaves. What a jerk.

<BR>TS,<P>Depending on the state in which she lives, the ex-girlfriend may have a legal claim on some of the ex-boyfriend's earnings if he begins work in the field of his chosen profession. There was some case law established on this point in the late 1980s, if I recall correctly. The basis of these lawsuits were similar: a wife puts a husband through medical school, and right after he graduates he dumps her for a different, and usually younger, woman.
