Tonight he was "babysitting". That is what I call visitation now. (He lives w/OW now, divorce filed and underway). Anyway, we've not been on speaking terms pretty much at all, not in an angry way, I'm just to upset about this whole mess and the pile of poop on my head to "chat". When I got home, he was combative at first it seemed because he wanted to discuss bills. I wouldn't fight back and made a sarcastic joke about digging up the grass he paid for, turning it over, stomping it in and mulching in the whole yard. He started to smile and then wanted to sit here and chat all night. Well, I'd say there was some conversation that felt much more like a normal comfortable conversation that we have not had in a LONG while. Just talk, which was nice even tho I hate him.
Well, later he was at the door with his coat on and I said something (I don't remember what), and he said "What HON". OH MY GOSH. Did he just call me "hon"? What a slip. I wanted to laugh out loud but didn't. I think he was hoping I didn't hear that so I acted like I didn't. WHAT a DUFUS! I was snickering inside even tho I also wanted to punch him out (I've been thru a lot).
Anyway, I'm sure I'm not the only one who's had this experience, but I thought under the circumstance - it was pretty funny to me.
Later gaters.

MY H does that all the time too. I accidentally called him honey in the middle of an argument this week. Old habits die hard I guess! [Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]

My H called me "honey" over the phone yesterday. I just about fell out of my chair. I've taken the stance of bored indifference with him. Funny, now he's calling me all the time. When I was begging and pleading, he kept treating me like the poor, pathetic wife who "just couldn't live without him". Now that I seem to not care whether he lives or dies, he wants to talk and joke etc. It's so weird!

------------------
Blessed be.
****************
Keridwen
Keridwen_7@yahoo.com

The funny thing is that he hasn't said that to me since Xmas, he left us beginning of February. He has been so void of any, and I mean ANY, feeling for me whatsoever. He just has stopped caring 100% about me. It was just strange to hear that now. I'm sure he didn't mean it (maybe it's what he says to the OW all the time and so became a natural response). I wonder if he ever calls her Kath. ?? That would be interesting.

Its possible. When my H was calling me from OW cel phone, I picked up and he had dropped the phone and I heard him say "hun, I dropped your phone down there" and then I quickly hung up. So it probably becomes the same old habit with OW. Plus, My H doesn't seem to call her by her name (like he did with me) either because he called her my name a few times (per him) or some other strange twisted reason. He also changed his name from Rob to Robert. He insists I call him Robert, but I refuse.
