I finally wrote the letter to OM! I am cutting it off! I showed the letter to my H and he was very relieveed. Truthfully, I am too!
I just had to make the decision that my family means more to me than OM. He cannot meet all of my emotional needs and I know that. I know that given a chance, my H can!
I came clean about have kept in constant contact with OM since discovery day. I came clean about the letters, conversations, gifts ect. I feel a lot better not being deceving.
I told my H i could not promise there would never be any contact, but that i am going to give it my best shot.
There are just times that we fail as humans. It is a bit like losing weight, some days we just eat that few too many calories, so just try again.
Wish me luck!
Mercy

Mercy
I'm really happy to read this. It sounds like it has been a very long and difficult road for you and you must feel very relieved to have been able to arrive at this decision. You know it will not be easy but try to remember to always look forward from this point on, never looking back, or you will slip.
I know how hard it was for my H to come clean about what he had done. In fact, he wouldn't have at all had I not already learned from the OW what was going on between them. I poked and prodded him enough that he finally told me. Rest assured that with as much as it hurts to hear such things, it is so much better for us all to have it out in the open than to not know what is really going on.
Now that you have made your decision, perhaps the hardest part is yet to come...following through on it. My H is going through this now, as I mentioned in my own thread to you...it's extremely difficult emotionally for him and likely will be for you as well.
For him, you and all the others going through the same pain, my thoughts, prayers and hopes are with you all. Not for the sake of your families, but for each of you as individuals.
Do this for YOU Mercy, not for anyone else, and I'm sure you'll find you are not only successful, but that you've learned much and will be far wiser in the end.

Dear Mercy,
Praise God! That's such a major step toward getting on with your life.
I also wanted to tell you that I admire your strength and faithfulness. Many people who have been through what you have would have thrown in the towel. While the road ahead will still have bumps in it, I know God will richly bless you (both here and where it counts more) because of your faithfulness.
[Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]
BrokenButNotCrushed
