Some of my students were talking about things they were setting up for their dates, and they kind of touched my heart. They put so much time and effort into making things special, and it reminded me of the things I used to dream up. How much time I'd invest in it, and how I really don't do it all that often anymore. Too grown up now [Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com] Anyway wanted to pass it along...
One of my students recently went on a double date with one of his friends. They planned the whole evening. They started by blindfolding the girls, and driving around with no particular direction in mind. They'd stop along the way, and try to get the girls to guess where they were. The last stop they did have planned. Both males had laid out a picnic blanket, and had set the places. They had made spaghetti all by themselves, and had everything ready for the girls.
On the way to school he picked a rose from the rosebush he and his girlfriend had picked for his mother and placed it in her locker for her to find after school.
Gosh to be young again...
