Well its Friday night and i just came home from my support group for seperated/divorced people. This group changes every week in terms of the amount of people that attend but usually it is mainly woman with a few older men. Well tonight there was a guy that showed up who was in the same situation as me.
He was just about me age, met his w when he was 15, got married at 23 and has two kids. All the same as me. His w cheated on him. My h cheated on me. The similarities were some similar it was eery. To top it all off he was cute!!!!!
We talk for awhile and he ask if I was going to the next meeting and then he suggested to me and another woman that we go out for something to eat after the next session.
I didn't take that as going out on a date but let me tell you, it sure felt good to have some other man pay attention to me. I could just sense that he was interested. We have many of the same likes....
I wonder how my h would feel if I should happen to just start dating this man. How would he feel is this man moved into my h and slept in my bed with his kids right next door?
Please, I would never do this but it would be nice to see him sweat a little thinking I was dating someone else. I mean, I need to get on with my life too even though I would like nothing more than for my h to wake up and realize what he is throwing away. I mean he may never wake up.....
At any rate, it just felt really good to be noticed by someone else. He was also very supportive in telling me that time will make things better and that my life will just start to explode in the next few years.

Missy, I was very happy to read your "reason to smile" post. NO your H would absolutely NOT like it one bit. He has had the best of both worlds. I think you should somehow let him know what you are up to.
I told my H a month ago that I too would like to meet a companion and hopefully find a stepfather for the kids... I told him it might take me awhile because I had been home taking care of the kids and house and had not had the good fortune of having mY"soul mate" working side by side with me.

I was really angry at him at the time for some idiotic thing he said. I think it had to do with justifing lying.

Anyway, I suppose it could have been a LB, but you know what....I think it woke him upeven more..... He said nothing to that. It was like he realized how cliche his situation really is....and that it was nothing really special. He moved from that conversation to talking about going to counseling....

Hey Too, how are you doing lately? Did I tell you my h now whats teh two of us to go for counseling so we can learn to get along with each other for the kids sake?
I keep telling him I dont see how that is possible until he can come to terms with why he did this to me. He is acting very strange lately. Very withdrawn. I am letting my imagination run wild and I am thinking the worst thougths. I really fear the OW is pregnant. I dont know why.
I think that would explain his behavior and why he is insisting this was the right decision. He also called in sick to work the other day, something he never does.
I guess it could just be that all of this is getting to him or maybe the OW is putting pressure on him and he was up all night arguing with her.
Tonight he and all his siblings took their mom and dad out to dinner. Kids and all. I was the only one not invited. No one even mentioned it to me. If my kids didn't tell me, I would not have known. It must have been very strange for everyone without me there. My one son said he was thinking about me tonight. ![[Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]](http://www.marriagebuilders.com/forum/images/icons/frown.gif) ((( I just wish my inlaws would invite me to family events and leave him out.
How do you do it with your inlaws? I know you are close to them....

we've been having some painting done on the house, and i've been talking to the painter quite a bit. he's just come out of an ugly long divorce, and has been in trouble with the law (just like me, but im not divorced yet), and he told me if H was going with OW last night, he'd take me bowling today, just to make H think about it. He's not my type at all, but it was nice of him to offer, that's for sure, ive been feeling like a dumpy nothing for so long now.
I won't do it, but it was nice to feel cared for ![[Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]](http://www.marriagebuilders.com/forum/images/icons/smile.gif)
