Why do I feel like I too am in the rut of doing the same thing over and over and wondering why things don't change?
Saw H today for an hour and asked if he had thought of anything to do for the weekend. He said no and went to the bathroom. He came back and I said I thought we might go do some wine tasting. He said nothing....I said if you don't want to take the camper we could stay in a hotel. Silence... Then he went in the other room again. Grrrrr. Now what, how do I salvage this. OK he does not want to go away with me. He does not want to talk to me. He does not want to tell me anything. I get that.
Should I say I would like to go with you but if you don't want to I will go myself? Should I just hang out around the house and do things like I was talking about with Sheba, movies, other entertainment?
Should I just shut up and give up? How do I stop banging my head against this wall, it hurts.
Lora

I don't think you blew it at all - it sounds like your H blew it. I think you should force him to at least speak. Follow him into whatever room he goes into and expect an answer. If it comes down to it you may have to tell him out loud that you would like a verbal answer - would he like to go and spend time with you? If he tells you out loud that he would not you may feel more like making the decision to go by yourself (you'll be angry). At the same time he can't say that you made any assumptions based on his silence. Then again he may say "fine - let's do something jeez..." although it's grudging on his part you still have the chance to show him a good time.
------------------
"I believe... this is heaven to no one else but me - and I'll defend it long as I can be left here to linger in silence if I choose to would you try to understand?" - Sarah McLachlan

Yes Monen,
I think I need to say that I need an answer from him and I will not tolerate his disrespect of me any longer. If he doesn't want to do it he can just say so! Actually I wonder if I should remind him that he is free and I am not holding him down and if he wants to be gone to get the h*** out of here.
Seems I have a little anger today, it will probably be over by the time I see him again.
I just am tired of reading his mind.
Lora
