Just got some bad news. My brother has been living with me since last fall. He just told me he wants to move in with his girlfriend in the middle of June. Without his rent payments I am royally screwed since H moved out 6 weeks ago. H and I are getting along very well and he is looking for an apartment to move into June/July. I was the one to ask him to leave our home. So here is where I need the advice. My brother is willing to stay here a little longer until I can figure something out. The thing is I don't want to interfere with his happiness if what he wants is to move in with his girlfriend. I am considering asking my H to move back home and stay in our upstairs (where me brother lives). I know it will help both of us out financially as well as allow me more time to work on Plan A. He has been staying with the OW since he left but told me a month ago he was planning on getting his own apartment. All of his stuff is still here except for about 1/2 of his clothing. He has never made any attmept to move the rest of his stuff out which is why I think this option could actually work. So what do you think? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

------------------
Molli
Find your strength within!

Okay, my situation: I work full time and a am basically on call when I'm not at work. So it is not a good option to take on a part-time job. I currently make more $$ than H but took over most of the bills when he left. I could ask him to help out with the mortgage but I doubt he would help out. If he gets an apartment that will eat up some of his own income. Paying that and part of the mortgage payment will put him into a real spot. Also, we have not discussed divorcing or staying together for about 5 weeks. Right now, we're just taking things one day at a time. I guess my feeling is that if I ask him to pay part of the mortgage it's like saying (out loud) we're not divorcing. I have purposely not pushed any type of committment from him so as not to pressure him or put him in an uncomfortable position. It is something that I used to do to him that he hates.
So now I'm thinking that maybe I can have my B stay an extra month. I seriously doubt my H will have an apt by June 1 as he hasn't even been looking. That extra month would allow me a chance to see if all the positive things that have been happening the last 3 weeks will continue. If they do, maybe it won't be such a bad idea to ask him to move back home. If not, then maybe I will need to look at selling my home and finding something else. D*** it! I'm crying now. ![[Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]](http://www.marriagebuilders.com/forum/images/icons/frown.gif)

------------------
Molli
Find your strength within!

Sounds like his moving back could be a good option except for one thing... the OW. Do you want her fouling your home with visits? You have to consider that as a real possibility. If you have kids, surely you don't want to create a scene? If you dont' have kids, this could be the thing that pushes things in one direction or the other.
Me, I need movement. I can't stand limbo. I'd go for getting it nasty and over with or peacful and working toward resolution. I'd take this option, but maybe your situation isnt' ready to be tested yet? I don't know.
