Wanted to send another post aft sending "Having a really tough time". It was such a downer and felt bad I was feeling sorry for myself.
Making myself find the humor, if there is any, in any given situation. Here's an example:
OW sent me a page from one of those rags (i.e., Inquirer, Star) which was an add for losing FAT Fast! She wrote on it "Joanne, this really works, try it".
I found it humorous because like I said she's never seen me ... at the time I was 5' 9" and weighed 115 lbs, pretty thin due to the radiation and chemo treatments. Now I weigh 129 lbs. In remission. [Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]
Never know what I'll find in my mail box or on my answering machine anymore. I'm still amazed that this kind of stuff is happening.
-Jo

Thanks Hanora!
Yeah, keeping an eye on my health. One of the big reasons I finally had to give H an ultimatum. Now he's gone, but so is 50% of the stress. If I could just get the OW to leave me alone I'd have it made.
Been reading lots and lots of posts. My gosh, many ppl here are so knowledgeable and have insight to this infidelity thing. Ppl like yourself, Sheba, K, NSR, WhoDat and Popeye. Unfortunetly I suspect they're drawing from first hand experience. Too sad.
Anyway, I'm very blessed to have found this forum. I really needed it. I've also made a counseling appt with Dr. Harley for June 5th. Going to get my prep work done so I'm ready to use that hour efficiently and get the most I can from it.
Thank you for responding and just simply being there.
I'll keep posting.
Best,
-Jo

Hey Lostva,
Thanks for the encouragement!
Read your profile. Was inspired by your story. See that it was just about 6 mos from the time your H left (August) to when he wanted to come home (Late January). The Harley's book say an average affair last approx 6 months. Do they know what they're talking about or what? (rhetorical)
So happy that things are working out for you. I pray God will continue to work miracles in your favor. Keep up the good work!
One quick question ... how long have you been married?
-Jo

Josie, I think you're incredibly strong! Your husband obviously has a problem dealing with the reality of disease, and unfortunately, you are the one to suffer on all fronts. Men just can't take the pressures of illness, can they? What a bunch of weenies! Do you know HOW OFTEN THIS HAPPENS when illness is involved? Like . .. almost ALWAYS! Thank God for women on the planet! Who would nurture mankinds soul? I'm really starting to get annoyed at the shallowmess of the average man. I'm not trying to man-bash here, but geeze - no wonder so many women are going gay!!!! JUST KIDDING - at least I'm not depressed tonight, which is a breath of fresh air! Feeling a little frisky actually. I suppose these psycho mood swings will just keep coming on, eh? Well, tomorrow I'm sure another mood will overcome me - stay tuned!!!
Psycho Soonie!
