Hello everyone.
I haven't written since last week. I've been lurking though and reading, reading, reading.
My husband and I have each been to see the marriage counselor we found, separately. Tomorrow is the first meeting with everyone in the same room. I am very nervous - I am afraid. I can't even tell you of what exactly. Hearing the counselor say, "Why bother? There's no hope for you." I don't honestly think that anyone reputable would say that. I could use some positive thoughts, prayers.
NSR - I love reading your "inspirations". I print them out to read over and over. I feel calmer somehow. Thank you.

Lost it,
Listen, I hate it when those counselors give you those kind of statements ... "There's no hope for you" that really erks me. You know better, right?
If you and your H are honest with yourselves and are both willing to counsel, then of course there's hope.
If you haven't already, you need to read Bozos_Deb story, talking about beatin the odds and having a goal and staying focused. Pls ask Deb where it can be found, I can't remember how I got there. It worthwhile reading.
Try not to be nervous, take some Melatonin tonight to get a good night's sleep. I'll say prayers for you both.
God Bless and tell us how it goes.
Jo

Have never heard of a marriage counselor saying that! If so then you definitely need a different counselor whose main goal is for you two to stay together and work on a marriage. Ask for credentials because it sounds like this counselor has none!
