Wexwill or any other cybersnoopers, I need your help.
I believe my W is sending and receiveing encrypted e-mails. Our home computer is setup with AOL.
Her friends have coached her on howto sweep the e-mails, and I know that she is going into AOL preferences and also the "personal file".
Is there any way that I can check if her e-mails are scrambled?
Also, some time ago, Wexwill explained that there is a way to see if a keystroke program was running in the background. Perhaps my W is checking to see if I am the one abusing the e-mails or checking up on her. Could you explain again how to check if that background software is present.
Sorry, but the frustration and the anger has gotten the best of me. For those of you that have followed my story, and it's been a while since I was last here, I'm getting near the end of this thing. I'd like to say it has gotten better, but no relationship exists any longer. Our 16th anniv is around the corner, and it will be a memorable one, but for all the wrong reasons.
I'm just trying to stay as positive with the kids as I can...!
Chin up to all who can turn their marriages around. For those that have come to the conclusion they cannot, I'm with you in sympathy.
keystone

keystone,
I went back over some of our old posts because someone had told of a way to check and see if a program was running on a computer. I found it and will post what they had said. Good luck.
falsely accused

Go to "Start" then "Run". when the window opens, typein "msconfig" (no quotation marks). It will open a new window. Go to the "Startup" tab and click that. Wow huh? There is a list of every single program that is set to start up when the computer boots. Stuff that might not even show in the close program dialog box is right there. Now, see if you can locate any guardian, snooper or spy programs and just uncheck the box. When done, click Okay and reboot the system.
These little spy programs like to run in the background and hide themselves by using little names that don't mean anything. This is how you can disable them if you think you are being spied upon.

FA --
The "msconfig" (no quotes) didn't work. Any other ideas?
Also, help me out with "ICQ". Isn't that a way of encoding the e-mails?
thanks,
--keystone

Keystone,
Sorry that didn't work for you it did for me. I'll try some other things and get back to you. You can at least keep tabs on what she has been up to (as long as she doesn't know this already and go in to delete things) by going into windows explorer and if you have AOL up and your browser set to AOL you go into windows and then the history file and every site that has been opened is in there and click on it and see if theres anything there.
As far as ICQ my H wanted to install that and I told him no because he wanted to chat with the females from the one job who are all on ICQ. So I can't help you out much on that but if I get time I will try to research it.
Good luck once again.
falsely accused
