Keep your goal in sight. Remind yourself that your situation is temporary and you can handle anything short term.
Then mentally give yourself a little reward for every time you bite your tounge! Good luck!

Any ideas?

------------------
http://www.geocities.com/zbucketmouse is where my page is. Check it out!:)

Well, the reward only has to be rewarding, not expensive.
If your temper tends to be a little fiesty and it is something that you want to work on, just making a little chart and drawing stars on it could be rewarding.
If that sounds too Kindergarten, how about Hersey Kisses or my personal weakness...Almond M&M's.
I'm sure you can be creative ![[Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]](http://www.marriagebuilders.com/forum/images/icons/smile.gif)

Miaka, I read an article today that might be of help.
Accomplishing goals can feel overwhelming, like climbing a mountain. When you start, you see a huge climb ahead and the only direction available is "up." You hike and hike and hike, and the summit is still so far away. Eventually, you will reach the top. While looking back you will see a number of different trails that were available to choose from. Some routes are more arduous than others.
Visualize yourself at the destination. Try to imagine which routes are available for you to choose. Backtrack all the way to today, and you can map out your route to success. Maybe you could visualize your mother-in-law as a great big glacier filled with rocks and ice and crevasses ready to swallow you up if you're not careful. Not too many people climb a mountain by going up the middle of a glacier. You're bound to find a safer path that's not so slippery and treacherous.
Hope this helps!
