Do you suppose if you have a ? long time (over a year) EA that started innocently and built up to monumental proportions... that it would be harder to break the EA if it stayed that way vs. getting physical...
just a question. Since my H's admittance to PA... although he says he's not coming home. he seems to be deflating from the grandiose personality change. Though I'm sure sex is great in the beginnning.. Do you suppose as the obsession or guilt or whatever is going on that made my H's personality become so polar opposite lessens, he will at least "see" the relationship and family he has left in a more realistic way??
I'm not discounting his feelings or our marital issues (which I still don't know what they are). I'm simply referring to the actual altered FACTS of our life, that he has so conviently changed.

I think it might be harder to break an EA than a PA. With an EA there is a lot of mental gymnastics going on. When it becomes a PA - and I'm just speculating here - it becomes something more tangible. It has to live in the real world and not just in someone's head and heart.
I really do believe he's going to starting seeing reality again. He's not living in his head anymore.

[This message has been edited by TruthSeeker (edited August 09, 2000).]

tootrusting,
I'm sorry for your pain. [Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]
Yes, this very well could bring some reality to his fantasy. Especially in his case. He is the one with the "we have something special, unearthly, helping others", right? I often get all the stories mixed up.
And who's to say sex is great in the beginning?? My h said the first time with OW he couldn't get it up.
So, while you said elsewhere that your family was disintegrating, this may very well be the beginning of the end of the fantasy.
Stay strong, and keep posting.
