Hi - Maybe someone can help me - I need help using the search option on the boards. For example - if I wanted to read all the responses written by a particular user how and where do I type their user name in? If I want to go back and only read my own posts do I do the same thing? Can you search under subject also? i.e. affection etc. If anyone can explain this clearly I'd appreciate it.
Thanks
Kris

Hit the search link found above your post. You will get a second screen that has the following search fields:
Search Words:
Search Forum/Archive:
Search In:
Search by Date:
Search by user name:
OK, say you wanted to search for all posts in General Questions written by the fictious TomJones. Type "TomJones" in the "Search by user name" fiels. Select "General Questions" in the "search forum/archive" field. Hit "Perform Search". That's it. If you had wanted to search for only posts he'd written in the last 30 days, or whatever, you could also have selected a time frame in the "Search by Date" field.
To search by Topic or Keyword...say you want to find a post about "withdrawal"...type that in the "Search Words" field, and then go down to "Search in" and select either "entire message" or "subject only". Warning...often a word search for "entire message" will get you way too many hits, unless it is an unusual word or you restrict the time frame...
Good luck.
