Who was it that posted about not being able to look at the crockpot? Was that you Lor? Please explain and satisfy my curiosity and stop me from having to imagine what kind of kinky thing you could do with a crockpot.
Help me out, I have too much time to think and this is driving me a little crazy.
Lora

Yeah, it was me. I'd like to say it wasn't kinky, but, of course, I wasn't there, what do I know about what they did with the crockpot?
That was the first time my H left--2 years ago now--one Friday after work I noticed my crockpot was missing. Later that evening talking to my neighbor, she said she'd seen my H come to the house, and when he came out he was carrying the crockpot. The next day, the crockpot was back in the cupboard.
What he said was that he cooked beef stroganoff for his housemate...of course, he really cooked it for HER, but I didn't know that for months until his affair disclosure and that was one of the things I immediately asked about...had he used the crockpot to cook for her.
The reason this bothers me (like I have to explain it to all of you, you KNOW) is that when he lived at home, Friday night was his night to cook because I work until 6. So there he was cooking for her, while his kids were making their own food. That was also long before we worked out any sort of visitation where he regularly had the kids.
Anyway, I have hated the crockpot. Hate beef stroganoff as well.
I'm aware it was just something to focus my anger on, since I didn't want to direct it at my H.
But, [Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com] that's all in the past, and I never ran over the crockpot in the driveway, nor did I hit it with a baseball bat.
Actually, I feel lucky, there's people here who replaced cars, carpet, sofas, whole wardrobes, beds, houses...I think the crockpot was manageable, and I dealt with my feelings [Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com].

Thanks Lor for satisfing my couriosity.
I hope it didn't upset you to tell it. Maybe we could all give our crockpots a good kick in solidarity with you. [Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]
I'm afraid if we ever work this out I will want to replace his truck, their meeting place after work. A little more expensive prospect. Ticks me off since I really bought it, because my credit union had the better loan. He always teased about me buying it for him. He doesn't do that any more.
Lora

Hah. No we don't need to go into the "death to the crockpots" march. [Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]
It honestly doesn't bother me much. I know it was just a safety valve...kind of like a pyro-telekinetic keeps a bucket of water around to send fire into when it gets too much.
There were far bigger issues, but all I can say is that this time I'm healing. I'm dropping the past, that doesn't mean I don't remember it, but it doesn't have to be chained to my leg & dragging along.
Our last separation was Jan 00 for 4 months, with divorce papers served during that time and I feel this whole now and my H is the good man I married. I never thought it would all come back together.
Lora, the road is long, but no matter what, you will not stay in this painful place forever.

Hopefully, this weekend, 11 weeks after dday we will finally be rid of our/their bed!! While I would really like to have a ceremonial bonfire, we are selling it. We are also "replacing" our house (had to buy new one and move out of church parsonage). I am starting to lose the queasy feeling when I ride in his pickup (he loaned it to her for several weeks when hers was repossessed and she was separated from her H). Life goes on...

I always cook a big pot of chili, stew or something. My wife used to bring it to work for the guy who worked in the store next door made minimum wage, worked ALL the time, paid lots in child support, etc. He was a really good guy though. Found out later, it was for wankboy. Why, oh why didn't I put the arsenic in it when I had the chance?
