I've gone one week now without LB (I know, it's not that long, but it's a record for me.) It's been a good week, not GREAT, but good.
Anyway, my H's insurance sends the employees reimbursement checks for what they put into it for the year. I found out about it while we were separated, and I asked him about it. He said that he enrolled 6 days too late to receive a reimbursement. I called BS on him, he insisted it was true.
This past weekend it was brought up again, and he still maintained that he wasn't getting a check. Now, I had already found out from a friend of mine that he indeed WAS getting his check. But I gritted my teeth and followed y'all's and Jennifer's advice (I was tempted to tell him that I knew he was getting a check and asking if the money was going to go to Roseanne's - I mean, Janine's much-needed liposuction.)
Well, he called me this morning to let me know that he is indeed getting an insurance check for $1500. I didn't say "I know" or "Thanks for cutting the BS finally", like I normally would have. I said "that's great! Have some fun with the money." He's using the $$$ to go back to school (YES!!!), and he sounded pleased that I didn't fly off the handle or accuse him. Hey, this stuff might actually work!

Off the subject a little bit, a question for Lor: How did you know when Guard was serious about working on the marriage? Was there a difference in his demeanor or anything? It's hard, you hear so many times and it keeps falling through, it's hard to tell whether he's for real or "crying wolf" again. Just wondered if there was any huge sign. Thanks!
