Had a good day today. Went with wife and several other couples to a place called Brookville, near Abeliene, Ks where they serve homemade fried chicken, cole slaw, fluffy buscuits, creamed corn and drinks, all you can eat. It was goooooood, fellowship great. We need more good times like that.
Well, [censored], my real name is Tom. So now we have Tom, [censored] and ... where's Harry? Thanks for responding!
Bellevue - I have heard of your namesake there in NYC. I know what it is like to be a little bit crazy. After D day with my wife, I did just that. Got totally out of character and did all sorts of stupid things, some of which I won't mention - too embarassed. I got royally drunk, ran to another woman, got nearly suicidal and really depressed. A real tailspin. I can relate to how you reacted.
Truthseeker - sometimes when we start looking at the truth about ourselves and others, it really hurts. I've seen several other people mention Conway's book. I'm definitely smack-dab in the middle of a MLC just ask my long-suffering wife. No, don't do that, you'll get more than an earful... [Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]
Yuki Miaka - I like that story. Fell in love with one where fate and circumstances make it impossible to be together. One of the sad remnants of an affair. But it is possible to make my marriage work. That's what I'm after.
Bernzini - poignant. You hate to see your child suffer your adult problems. I know. They don't deserve it.

Not very creative on my part, I'm ashamed to say...my daughter came up with it when i was signing up with hotmail. It just sounded so warm and peaceful, that I decide to bring it over here to MB. We live nowhere by the ocean, and have only been near one 3 times in my life, but we do have a man-made lake down the street. It's not quite the same as the ocean, or any great lake, but It works for the ducks passing through.
Warm and peacful thoughts to all, Cbreeze

Again, not a difficult name to figure out.
When I pushed past denial and confronted my husband I hurt more than I ever had in my life. I wanted to shrivel up and die.
But I did not. I found books and this web site and decided to cope.
Maybe I should change my name to "Lemonade" as in "When life gives you lemons, make lemonade..."

Mine's not too complicated, either. I'm a fraction under 5 ft. tall. My dad used to call me Midgie way back when, but his nicknames were made up for his use only. I didn't try Midgie to see if it was taken, just figured it probably was and went for something similar.
I wanted something that my husband wouldn't recognize instantly. He knows I spend time here, but doesn't seem terribly interested. I've posted info he doesn't know yet -- I'm not sure discovery by website would be the best way to go.

For what I once was and what I now am, I think Cinderella is appropriate.
My x wanted a preformance based relationship. When he could not accept the fact that my housekeeping was not as good as his mother's (we're not going into his 2 or 3 EAs), he told me he wanted a divorce.
So, I was a chargirl, in a sense.
But, I have grown into a princess - well, not literally, in comparison. I'm not rich, don't live in a castle. But if you watch the Leslie Ann Warren version of "Cinderella" she has this wonderful look of peace on her face after the transformation. And that's what I feel now.
Even my mother thinks "Cinderella" fits me.
