Hi all,
I know this is off the subject but I needed to vent a little.
I was at CNN's site checking out some of the posts concerning the bombing and the deaths of our sailors. I just can't believe the attitudes some PPL have. Most of the posts expressed sadness at the loss of life or anger towards the parties responsible.
There was however many posts basically saying that we got what we deserved, and some actually supporting the actions of the bombers.
I CAN'T PUT INTO WORDS HOW MAD THIS MAKES ME
The posters were American citizens!!!!!!!!!!
ARRRRGH!!!!!!!!!!!!
How can someone think that way?????????
I have served my country for 13yrs, these are the PPL that we are supposed to be defending???
Who do these PPL think they are????
They should like the rest of us mourn the loss of these sailors who died, and stop disgrace their memory with the crap spouting from their mouths.
OK, I feel a little better now
Jason

P.S. I'd like to see how much sympathy these PPL have for the terrorists when it's them or their families killed by a bomb.
OK now I'm done, thanks needed to vent
I know it's USS Cole, sorry can't edit the title

------------------
"Thinking is easy, action is difficult; to act in accordance with one's thoughts is the most difficult thing in the world."
- Johann Wolfgang von Goethe
[This message has been edited by unseen2 (edited October 13, 2000).]
[This message has been edited by unseen2 (edited October 13, 2000).]

I thought about posting for a moment of silence to honor those that died.
My heart and prayers go out to all the families.
Forget the negative posters, these ppl are ignorant and accordingly should be ignored.
SheRa
Unseen -
Go ahead and vent. I can't believe that anyone would say that we got what we deserved. It wasn't my H or my son that was killed, but they certainly did NOT deserve to die. . .My hearts go out to the families of those sailors, just as they went out to the Russian sailors that died in that tragic submarine incident. And I just wanted to thank you and any other veterans who may be on this sight, from whatever country they represent. . .You put your life on the line, to serve your country, in protection of its people. . .and I for one am grateful for that.

My heart is saddened at the circumstances and the loss of lives of our soldiers. And I am appalled at the responses you read, Jason. I don't know what to say. Prayers and thoughts to the soldiers and families, it is just so sad.

Ditto here. Wonder what Billy will decide to do about this one, hmmm? Maybe nothing. His time will be up soon, and I think he'd be more than happy to sort of slink quietly out of office and drop the issue on the next leader's lap. Sorry if this offends any [Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com] GORE [Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com] supporters here, but I'm hoping George W makes it in. I think he'd nip the situation in the bud rather than sit on it and wait for someone to tell him what to do. (Not that Bush is perfect either, just the lesser of 2 evils to my way of thinking). > [Linked Image from marriagebuilders.com]~
