Over two years ago, my wife had an affair. She was so involved in the affair that her plan was to divorce and run off with this other guy. However, thankfully, this turned around quickly and we have rebuilt the relationship better than ever.
This leads me to my dilenma. Why wife is gone with her mother and sister on a girls weekend outting. I decided to suprise her by doing some extra cleaning around the house. (She loves the domestic support I give her) While cleaning in our bedroom, I put something away in her dresser. In there was a card, pressed flower and photo of the other man. The date on the photo was over two years ago, so I was not worried about anything. However, it really hurt me that she would keep this. It was a momento of the most painful period in my life.
I felt it was very inconsiderate and a slap in the face. Should I say something? She I just ignore it? What should I do?

Get rid of it, hide it somewhere. Let her bring it up and then tell her you put it away because it hurt that she kept that around.

Thanks for the advise. I thought that might be the best. But I still don't understand why she kept it?

I'm sorry, but I disagree with HadBetterDays. If you hide it or get rid of it without telling her, she may think you were snooping while she was gone, and that you don't trust her. Which in turn will lead her not to trust you, and then all the work that you both have done may be harmed. I would suggest leaving it where it is, and talking to her about it sometime soon. Just tell her the truth - that you were cleaning, put something in her drawer and found the card and photo. And then go on to tell her that it hurt you to realize that she had kept a momento, and take it from there. I really would not get rid of it - it isn't yours to begin with. Yes, it is from a very painful period in your life. But it is obviously important to her, so don't just discard it. She will begin to feel like you think only your feelings from that time are valid.
Hope this helps...
